A Hard-working Girl from the Pechakola Community
Sadia is a member of the Jamuna Group from the Pechakola community. She belongs to the weaving community. Sadia wants to stand on her own feet and help her family. That’s why, along with going to school, she also does weaving work to support her family. She says this work takes a lot of effort, but still, after finishing her studies and helping at home, she wants to become self-reliant. From her words, we can tell how strong and hard-working she is.
Sadia says that many people in her village do weaving work, so most kids her age also have to help with it. Because of this, they don’t get enough time to study and often miss out on many chances—like learning new things or going outside their village. Since they are always busy with work, they don’t get to explore much.
But Sadia tries to do things differently. She says she wants everyone to keep learning new things even while working. She hopes that they can build a better future for themselves.
Her way of thinking shows us that even with hard work, we should not stop learning or dreaming big. Through SALT, we learnt how Sadia encourages others and works hard to make her dreams come true.
