New experience in SALT training

I am Shanti Rambari, President of Arshibad Sansthan. Our organization has been working with backward Dalit communities in Mymensingh headquarters. I had the opportunity to participate in a training at GFC on behalf of this organization. GFC organizes training on SALT.

The start was great. A total of twelve participants participated, two each from the six selected organizations in Bangladesh. Every organization has different activities. From which everyone has tasted different levels of experience. Yes friends, just as food without salt is tasteless, without knowing the use of salt, one cannot get an idea about the speed of work, results, wounds etc. As an example, let me tell you why I like salt training. Because what I or we knew was only knowledge about someone. We never try to go into depth about a person. We do not know where his weakness is hidden, where his strength is hidden. Don't even try to find out. But we were all surprised when Ritu taught this subject very easily. We went in depth on this topic during training. The session taught how to draw out the energy from within others by listening attentively. How to motivate people to achieve their goals. Ritu and Nawaz are best as trainers. There is much to learn from them. Not once did I feel like a student, and who was their teacher. The arrangement of their placement, the process of getting everyone involved was different. All of us who participated became a family and a community at the end of the day. The most interesting thing is that our work is different but our thinking is the same.

At SALT training we come to the same conclusion time and time again, out of respect for everyone. Everyone's respect for everyone, love and caring was wonderful.

• Thank you too Ritu for the excellent question.  I did not feel like a student because the process in SALT training was not like any other normal training.  Here everyone participated as a team.  Everyone listened attentively.  Everyone helped everyone.  As long as I was there it felt like we were part of a family.  Everyone's decision opinion prevails.
