I am Subrata Kumar Saha, Head of Program of Alokito Shishu Trust (AST) and a proud member of the ARC Initiative.
I have had SALT conversations with my six Alokito Shishu Trust (AST) colleagues and one friend, I found that everyone has potential and different humanitarian characteristics inside their hearts. My colleagues used to tackle many challenging tasks with their skills, capacities, and abilities, and I trust in their abilities that they could do any good work.
The six team members and one friend said they never got much space to tell these stories openly because they felt too shy to express their fantastic stories because people would treat them differently. The four stories were quite different from each other, and I learned a lot that would be useful in my life. Some became emotional while telling the story. After the trustworthy appreciation and encouragement for telling the truth, they shared many hidden things and unfolded untold things.
If we can create space, then everybody can utilize their skills for good things, and these people can become idols for others. I have also benefited a lot because, from their experience sharing, I have discovered myself differently.
In the next two days, I will have SALT conversations with more colleagues and hope to gather more new experiences. I hope to practice this exercise with my children, family, and friends beyond my profession, and I believe that this will help them to be real human beings and will help to create creative human beings.
The reflections are shared below:
Suchana: “If anybody is determined to do any good job, s/he might have to face some challenges, but after a certain time, it is possible to attain the goal.”
Jannat: “Conversion was inspiring and was a learning plot for me.”
Jatin: "Bringing about any positive change needs time.”
Somaiya: “Self-interest should not be looked into while serving the interests of others.”
Raufun: “Human beings have to be positive and hopeful because unhealthy competition brings harm in life.”
Biswajit Roy (Friend): “SALT conversation is an interesting approach to learning.”
Popy Akter: “By different means people/ families can earn money but without education, life can not be perfect.”

Wow... this is very inspiring dada! Your reflections exert the fulfillment and depth joy you experienced throughout the SALT conversations. Would love to hear and learn more from you!
Your ability to unlearn and learn new things is remarkable Subrata Da! The blog shows the importance of SALT conversations at organization level.
See another example from Bangladesh on how SALT has contributed to a change in organisation head. https://aidscompetence.ning.com/profiles/blogs/my-feelings-about-salt
