Bayazid & Shahida, (Field Facilitator, BRED).
In the Pechakola community, the group SALT with the youth of 18-35 years have come up with how to make their thoughts about their community a reality. The group SALT is made up of 11 members and divided into 5 groups. They themselves start salting each other with 15 minutes. Identifying similar problems from a single salt is revealed through group salts. There were a few issues such as street problems in children's schools, road problems within the community, children's stay out of their homes after evening, keeping their home yards and local markets clean. How they can solve the problems themselves through group salt discussions have come up. At the end of the appointed time, they start praising each other, so that the other person gets a kind of strength in themselves which will help them to be energetic in their work. They say we can solve our own problems if we all work together. Hearing this, everyone should be excited. I have noticed in them the intense desire to face any challenge by the power of the community. They can take this decision themselves if they wake up the power between them. Which has emerged through our group salt. Group salts are more fruitful than single salts. Now our work will be to try not to stop these discussions meet and inspire them again and again.
At the end of the group salt After experience reflection we asked ourselves two questions-
1. What went well and why?
2. What can we do better next time and how?
Answers to the first question - The group salts themselves were listening to each other's stories attentively and complimenting each other that they had never had the opportunity to sit together and talk like this. It was good. Because sitting together could reveal their potential through discussions between them.
Answer to the second question - Next time we can group together with another team in the area. This will increase the motivation to work together with one group in the community.
Comment
I believe they were highly engaged with the conversation. Amazing!
The younger generation has many ideas to bring about change. They just need encouragement.
The younger generation can use their creativity and energy to bring about positive changes in society.
