From Strangers to Allies: The Dynamics of Our SALT Session

We organized a brief meet and greet with the dedicated volunteers affiliated with our esteemed Grow Your Reader Foundation at our office on 23rd December 2023.

Among the various engagements scheduled for the day, a noteworthy highlight was a short SALT session designed to foster camaraderie among all participants.

The primary objective of this session was to cultivate a deeper appreciation and strengthen the connections among the individuals present. I encouraged each attendee to deliver a brief self-introduction, including an aspect of themselves that fills them with pride. After listening to them, participants were asked to provide three strengths observed in the person seated on their left- based on their introductions.

The transformation in the ambiance was palpable! Individuals who were previously unfamiliar with each other quickly forged bonds, rendering the environment more dynamic and interactive. There was a newfound mutual regard amongst everyone, creating a collective appreciation for the shared goals we are all dedicated to achieving.

This firsthand encounter was proof of the transformative power of words. The seemingly simple act of attentive listening and the expression of kind words indeed possesses the potential to reshape relationships. I am confident that our professional community has not only become closer, but will also redouble its collective efforts towards our objectives.
