At HENU our organisation based in Uganda, we have used strength-based approach, community life competence process to encourage older persons to respond to their issues. And they are doing a great job and inspiring us.
It was all joy and excitement as older persons took on religious leaders in honorary foot ball and net ball matches in Entebbe on 27th September 2013. This is one of the activities HENU planned as we prepare to celebrate the International Day for Older Persons other activities include home visits, a health Day, launching of Entebbe Older Persons voice Magazine and a lunch club. All participants were given certificates of recognition by the guest of honor - the speaker of Entebbe Municipality

Great, just goes to show you are never to old. I work with aged care residents, both low and high care, running Chair Chi sessions and the oldest person is 103 years-old.
Keep up the good work!
Chris
Great Arthur - congratulations! I see some young boys at the picture as well. Was youth involved as well? I am sure they must have loved the match! (what was the score by the way :). Marlou
