Dear all,
I facilitated a few months ago a great Dream building exercise for a 70 people organization in Singapore. The small group dreams came out extremely well.
I was cautious of hierarchies, but actually had the team leaders facilitate the various groups and share their dreams in the end. That worked well. I briefed them separately before the event took place and shared relevant questions to ask during the exercise.
Each group presented their dream on stage and the ones with loudest applause won a simple prize. Eventually all got a prize!
Probably some of the most artistic drawings I have seen thus far in terms of dream building. These are now in the office on a huge wall and inspire people every day. See below:

I enjoyed the drawings...very interesting. The second one and the last one are my favourite. what are the cons to keep in mind when team leaders facilitate dream building? Thanks and greetings Gaston!
Great drawings indeed and inspiring facilitation. Thank you Gaston.
Hi Marlou,
First I explained the mindset and that ownership is key. So ask questions, be curious instead of providing statements. See if you can connect with the feelings and needs behind statements of people.
Then some relevant questions they can ask as people share:
- Why would that be so important to you?
- What else?
- How would that make you feel if we would get there as an organization?
- Anything else you would like to mention?
Thanks Gaston - great artistic talent indeed. What were the relevant questions you whispered in the ears of team leaders?
Marlou
