A Day of Inspiration at the BRED Knowledge Fair 2025 in Pabna

On Saturday, October 25th, at 5 am, in the morning breeze, I, Nishat Apu, Parvez Bhai and the GYRF team left for the colorful knowledge fair organized by "BRED" at Manjur Quader Degree College, Nakalia Bera, Pabna, to participate in the knowledge fair. GYRE brought with us their community Hijri Byaspur community member Afsana Apa and Salim Bhai (coordinator of the next school) so that they could learn from there and share their stories. We started the journey with joy and finally arrived after 6 hours.

 I saw a place full of pride and humility of the BRED team. Where the members of the BRED team were proudly and courageously sharing aspects of their work - providing free tuition, making water filters, how to make organic fertilizer from kitchen waste and using this fertilizer to plant a nutritious garden in front of the house courtyard, teaching adults math and literacy skills so that they can calculate, read, write, and do simple transactions in their daily lives. Along with standing by the elderly and helpless, helping them with their small and big tasks with love and compassion. Care and responsibility are evident in each of their works. The work that Jamuna, Jawa and other teams have done for their communities is truly commendable.

 We learn from them and share aspects of our work. We share with them the work we do with the Harijan community in Narayanganj and the Bede community in Munshiganj. For example, the football tournament match of Adolescence in Narayanganj, clay session, mothers' dream presentation and the nutrition garden in Munshiganj, how Masculinity has changed the life of Sakib. I noticed one thing that when we, the Enlightenment team and the GYRF team, were sharing our stories, everyone in the community was listening attentively.

Knowledge Fair, this entire journey will be remembered by me for the rest of my life. Priya Apu's sweet smile, who wants to sleep in the car while going, but does not sleep, listening to music with us all the way. Nishat Apu who takes bags full of biscuits, fruits, Coca-Cola, pickles and many more so that no one has any problems. Parvez Bhai who always takes care of us. After the knowledge fair, the BRED, GYRF, ALOKITO kori team, we all eat and drink at the BRED office and talk. I don't feel like we are a cohort team, I feel like we are a family.

২৫শে অক্টোবর শনিবার সকাল ৫ টায় ভোরের বাতাসে,মনের আনন্দে আলোকিত করি টিমের আমি,নিশাত আপু,পারভেজ ভাই এবং GYRF টিম রওয়ানা দিয়েছিলাম পাবনা নাকালিয়া বেড়ার মনজুর কাদের ডিগ্রি কলেজে "BRED" এর বর্ণাঢ্য অনুষ্ঠিত আয়োজন knowledge fair অংশগ্রহণ করার উদ্দেশ্যে।আমাদের সাথে GYRE তাদের কমিউনিটি হিজরি ব্যাসপুর কমিউনিটি মেম্বার আফসানা আপা আর সেলিম ভাইকে ( আগামী স্কুলের কঅর্ডিনেটর)নিয়ে আসে,যাতে করে সেখান থেকে শিখতে পারে আর নিজেদের গল্প শেয়ার করতে পারে।আনন্দ উল্লাসে যাত্রা শুরু করে অবশেষে ৬ ঘন্টা পর আমরা পৌঁছাই।

 

BRED টিমের গর্ব সাহস বিনয় দিয়ে পূর্ণ একটি স্থান দেখতে পাই।যেখানে BRED টিম এর সদস্যরা গর্ব ও সাহসের সঙ্গে নিজেদের কাজের দিকগুলো শেয়ার করছিলো-বিনামূল্যে টিউশন দেয়া,পানির ফিলটার তৈরি,কিভাবে রান্নাঘরের বর্জ্য থেকে জৈব সার তৈরি করা আর এ সার থেকে বাড়ির আঙ্গিনার সামনে পুষ্টি বাগান লাগানো, প্রাপ্তবয়স্কদের গণিত ও অক্ষর জ্ঞান দেয়া যাতে করে তারা তাদের দৈনন্দিন জীবনে হিসাব করা,সাক্ষর করা,অক্ষর পরা,সাধারণ লেনদেন করতে পারে।পাশাপাশি বয়স্ক অসহায়দের পাশে দাঁড়ানো তাদের ছোট-বড় কাজে স্নেহ ও সহানুভূতি দিয়ে সাহায্য করা।তাদের প্রতিটি কাজের মধ্যে যত্ন ও দ্বায়িত্ব ফুটে উঠেছে।যমুনা, জবা আরও যে দলগুলো আছে তারা নিজেদের কমিউনিটির জন্য যেসকল কাজ করেছে তা সত্যি প্রশংষাময়।

আমরা তাদের কাছ থেকে শিখি এবং নিজেদের কাজের দিকগুলো শেয়ার করি।আমরা নারায়ণগঞ্জে হরিজন কমিউনিটি আর মুন্সিগঞ্জের বেদে কমিউনিটি নিয়ে যেসব কাজ করি সেগুলো আমরা তাদের সাথে শেয়ার করি।যেমন- নারায়ণগঞ্জে এডোলেশনস দের ফুটবল টুর্ণামেন্ট ম্যাচ,ক্লে শেসন,মায়েদের ড্রিম প্রেজেন্টেশন আর মুন্সিগঞ্জে পুষ্টি বাগান,ম্যাসকুলিনিটি থেকে কিভাবে সাকিবের জীবনে পরিবর্তন আনে তাদের সাথে শেয়ার করি।আমি একটা বিষয় লক্ষ্য করি আমরা আলোকিত করি টিম আর GYRF টিম যখন নিজেদের গল্প শেয়ার করছিলাম তখন সেখানে কমিউনিটির প্রত্যেকে মনোযোগ দিয়ে শুনছিলো।

নলেজ ফেয়ার এই পুরোটা জার্নিটা আমার সারা জীবন মনে থাকবে।প্রিয়া আপুর মিষ্টি হাসি যে যাওয়ার সময় গাড়িতে ঘুমাতে চায় তবে ঘুমায় না আামাদের সাথে সারা রাস্তা গান শুনে। নিশাত আপু যিনি ব্যাগ ভরে বিস্কুট,ফল,কোককোলা,আচার আরো অনেক কিছু নেয় যাতে করে কারো কোনে সমস্যা না হয়।পারভেজ ভাই যে সর্বদাই আমাদের দ্বায়িত্ব নেন।নলেজ ফেয়ার শেষে BRED,GYRF,ALOKITO kori টিম আমরা সবাই BRED এর অফিসে খাওয়া দাওয়া করি গল্প করি আমার কোথাও মনে হয় নাই আমরা কহোর্ট টিম,আমার মনে হয়েছে আমরা এক পরিবারের।
