সুচিত্রা পাএ- এক অনুপ্রেরণা।

আজ আমি পাএ কমিউনিটির এক অনন্য মেয়ে সুচিত্রার সাহসের গল্প সবার কাছে পৌঁছে দিতে চাই । তার জীবনের গল্প শুধু সংগ্রামের নয়, বরং সাহস, আত্মমর্যাদা এবং এগিয়ে যাওয়ার এক জীবন্ত উদাহরণ।

সুচিত্রার শক্তির পেছনে রয়েছেন আরেকজন অসাধারণ নারী , তার মা। নিঃশব্দে সব কষ্ট সহ্য করে তিনি মেয়েকে এগিয়ে যাওয়ার সাহস দিয়েছেন। এমন মায়েদের প্রতি গভীর শ্রদ্ধা, যারা মেয়েদের পথ রোধ না করে শক্তি যোগান।তিন বোন ও এক ভাইয়ের পরিবারে সুচিত্রা তৃতীয়। ছোট ভাইটি প্রতিবন্ধী। দুই বোনের বিয়ে হয়ে গেছে। বাবা দিনমজুর, কিন্তু হঠাৎ অসুস্থ হয়ে পড়ায় সংসারের দায়িত্ব আরও বেড়ে যায়। মা অন্যের গরু বর্গা নিয়ে পালন করেন। এই কঠিন বাস্তবতার মাঝেও সুচিত্রার একমাত্র স্বপ্ন পড়াশোনা করে নিজের পায়ে দাঁড়ানো।শৈশব থেকেই সে ছিল ভিন্ন মানসিকতার খেলাধুলা, পোশাক, চলাফেরা সবকিছুতেই ছিল আত্মবিশ্বাস। হাইস্কুলে ভর্তি হওয়ার পর তার জীবনের সত্যিকারের সংগ্রাম শুরু হয়। স্কুলে যাওয়ার জন্য সে সাইকেল চালানো শেখে। কিন্তু সাইকেল কেনার টাকা কোথায়? তখন সে সিদ্ধান্ত নেয় নিজেই উপার্জন করবে।পড়াশোনার পাশাপাশি মন্দিরে কাজ শুরু করে পরিষ্কার-পরিচ্ছন্নতা ও রান্নার প্রস্তুতির কাজ করে প্রতিদিন প্রায় ১০০ টাকা উপার্জন করত। দীর্ঘ পরিশ্রমের পর ৪০০০ টাকা জমিয়ে সে একটি সাইকেল কেনে। সেই সাইকেলই তার শিক্ষার পথকে সহজ করে দেয়।পাড়ার অনেকেই তাকে নিয়ে হাসাহাসি করত, ছেলে বলে কটূক্তি করত। কিন্তু এসবই তার স্বপ্নকে আরও দৃঢ় করে নারী-পুরুষের সমান অধিকার প্রতিষ্ঠা করা। তার বিশ্বাস, নারী দুর্বল নয়। নারীরাও পারে, এবং সে চায় প্রতিটি মেয়ে আত্মবিশ্বাসের সঙ্গে বলুক  “আমরা পারি।”

বর্তমানে সুচিত্রা এইচএসসি পরীক্ষার্থী। এখনো মন্দিরে কাজ করে নিজের পড়াশোনার খরচ চালিয়ে যাচ্ছে। তার স্বপ্ন শুধু নিজের উন্নতি নয়, বরং তার কমিউনিটিতে নারী-পুরুষের সমতা প্রতিষ্ঠা করা। সুচিত্রার জীবন আমাদের এক বড় শিক্ষা দেয়  পরিবর্তন অন্য কেউ এনে দেয় না, সাহসী মানুষ নিজের জীবন দিয়েই পরিবর্তনের সূচনা করে। সুচিত্রার এই পথচলা শুধু ব্যক্তিগত সংগ্রামের গল্প নয়, এটি দেখায় কীভাবে একটি কমিউনিটির নীরব শক্তি, সহমর্মিতা ও সমর্থন একজন তরুণীর স্বপ্নকে বাঁচিয়ে রাখে এবং পরিবর্তনের বীজ বপন করে।

Today I want to share with everyone the story of courage of Suchitra, a remarkable young woman from Patro community. Her life story is not only about struggle, but a living example of courage, dignity, and perseverance.

Behind Suchitra’s strength stands another extraordinary woman, her mother. Silently enduring all hardships, she has given her daughter the courage to move forward. Deep respect to such mothers who empower their daughters instead of holding them back. Suchitra is the third among three sisters and one brother. Her youngest brother is physically challenged. Her two sisters are married. Her father is a day laborer, but when he suddenly fell ill, the family’s burden increased even more. Her mother raises others’ cows on a share basis. Despite these harsh realities, Suchitra’s only dream is to stand on her own feet through education.From childhood, she had a different mindset confident in her games, clothing, and way of life. After enrolling in high school, the real struggle of her life began. To go to school, she learned to ride a bicycle. But where would she get the money to buy one? She decided to earn it herself.Alongside her studies, she began working at a temple, doing cleaning and food preparation, earning about 100 taka a day. After long months of hard work, she saved 4000 taka and bought a bicycle. That bicycle made her path to education easier.Many people in her neighborhood mocked her and called her a boy. But these challenges only strengthened her dream to establish equal rights for women and men. She believes women are not weak. Women can do it too, and she wants every girl to confidently say, “We can.”

Currently, Suchitra is an HSC examinee. She still works at the temple to support her education. Her dream is not only personal progress but also to establish gender equality in her community. Suchitra’s life teaches us a powerful lesson change does not come from others courageous people begin change through their own lives. Her journey is not just a story of personal struggles but it shows how the quiet strength, empathy, and support of a community sustain a young woman’s dreams and sow the seeds of change.
