কমিউনিটির আলোর দিশারী " আমাদের পাঠশালা "। সল্ট প্রোগ্রাম চলাকালীন সময়ে কমিউনিটির একজন পুত্রবধূ তার উদ্বেগ হিসেবে বলে, এই কমিউনিটির নারী পুরুষ দুজনেই সকাল হলেই কাজে চলে যায়। প্রাইমারি স্কুল দূরে হওয়ার কারনে বাচ্চারা নিজেরা স্কুলে যেতে পারে না। তাই কমিউনিটির লোকজন প্রায় সবাই অক্ষর জ্ঞান হীন থেকে যায়। তখন উনার কাছে পদক্ষেপের কথা জানতে চাইলে বলেন, উনি কমিউনিটিতে একটা স্কুল খুলতে চান। তারপর কমিউনিটিতে কয়েকটা উঠান বৈঠক এর ব্যাবস্হা করি। সেখানে তিনি তার ইচ্ছে প্রকাশ করেন। কমিউনিটির লোকজন সবাই উনার ইচ্ছাকে সাধুবাদ জানাই, এবং আগ্রহ প্রকাশ করেন। কমিউনিটির সবাই তখন তাকে হেল্প করার জন্য যে যার সামর্থ্য মতো ১০/২০/৫০ টাকা দেয়। ধারার নির্বাহী পরিচালক লিপিকা দাস গুপ্তর নিকট সাপোর্ট চান কমিউনিটির লোকজন। তখন তিনি ওখান কার জলিল নামের একজন লেবার সর্দারের সঙ্গে কথা বলেন। জলিল সাহেব অতিউৎসাহী হয়ে তাদের কে বই, স্লেট, চক, ব্লাকবোর্ড উপহার দেন। এগুলো ধারা টিমের সবার উপস্থিতিতে ধারার GFC এর ভোকাল পার্সন ডক্টর সাক্ষর দ্বীপ দাস গুপ্তর হাত দিয়ে বিতরণ করেন। চালু হয়ে গেলো ২৬ জন স্টুডেন্টসহ কমিউনিটির প্রি- প্রাইমারি স্কুল "আমাদের পাঠশালা"। কমিউনিটি স্কুল টা করতে পেরে খুবই উল্লাসিত। তারা ধারা এবং GFC এর কাছে খুবই কৃতজ্ঞ। সুন্দরবনের ভেতর থেকে আদিবাসীদের সভ্য সমাজে আসার পর। এখন তারা আলোর দিশা পেলো।

সল্ট রিপ্লেকশনে এতো বড়ো পরিবর্তন দেখে আমার নিজেকে গর্বিত অনুভব করি। তাই আপনাদের নিকট তুলে ধরলাম।

During the SALT program, a daughter-in-law from the community expressed her concern that both men and women in this community go to work in the morning. Since the primary school is far away, the children cannot go to school themselves.So almost all the people in the community remained illiterate. Then when I asked him about the steps he took, he said that he wanted to open a school in the community. Then I organized a few courtyard meetings in the community.There he expressed his wish. All the people of the community applauded his wish and expressed interest. Everyone in the community then gave him 10/20/50 taka according to their ability to help him.The community members sought support from Dhara's executive director, Lipika Das Gupta. She then spoke to a labor leader named Jalil. Jalil was very enthusiastic and gifted them books, slates, chalk, and blackboards.These were distributed by Dr. Sakshar Dwip Das Gupta, the vocal person of Dhara GFC, in the presence of all the Dhara team. The community's pre-primary school "Amader Pathshala" was launched with 26 students.They are very happy to be able to do the community school. They are very grateful to Dhara and GFC. After coming to the civilized society of the indigenous people from inside the Sundarbans. Now they have found the direction of light.

Education makes a person literate and self-reliant. If children learn today, tomorrow they will become self-reliant and able to solve their own problems.
