An OD consultant.
A great believer in the strengths based approach in all spheres of life - personal and professional, in relationships and within myself.
Love people and their stories.
Passionate about poetry and literature - English and Urdu particularly.
Avid (but amateur) photographer of people - pictures that tell stories.
Lover of music - mostly Indian semi-classical and light folk.
My dream:
To make a difference.
To work with women to empower them.
To work with children to ensure that every child gets the education and chances in this world that they deserve, irrespective of the financial or society background that they were born into.
To work with organizations to merge profitability and happiness + fulfillment in the workplace.
To learn and teach about ways in which we can give back to our planet rather than just take take take.
To work towards a better education schooling system where children learn by playing to their strengths rather than struggling along in areas where they seem to come up as failures
I'm proud of:
So many people world over who are doing so much to make this world a better place. In small and big ways, they just go out and do what they have to do.

Kiran, it was my dream to attend the AI conference but it was too expensive.. About event near Chennai, would you like to discuss on skype? The registration form is almost ready but I can give you estimated cost. I have sent you a skype request.
I have moderated both facebook groups and Ning platform. Facebook for me is a symbol of our current times, when the demand is of instant gratification- instant noodles, instant coffee, twitter, sms… Reach to a large n...umber of people, one needn't rack one’s brains to respond and the instant response to one's posting makes the Facebook a crowd puller. The flip side of this is that one may not have deep, meaningful conversations. I find Ning a more serious take on facebook. Also Ning has certain apps which facebook claims to have but they do not work. A very simple example was that recently I added a document on Facebook, it took ages to create this document on facebook. I received only one response. And when I reminded another colleague to look at it. He could not find it in the jumble of conversations. Presently, I consider that Facebook and Ning complement each other.
I am not going to WAIC....I am going to miss it very much! I assume you are going. Hope you will share your experience here!
This is a very interesting community, Rituu. Pardon my question, but are you the founder/creator of this community? Why have you created a separate networking site rather than piggy back on the existing sites like LinkedIn or Facebook through a special group? Wouldn't that be easier?
I joined this group because i'm truly interested in working with communities and to spread the use of strengths-based methodologies/tools as much as possible. But to be honest, I could find it a bit of a challenge to remember to log in and check what's happening here regularly.
Anyway, since I've joined, I'll give it a try for sure :-)
Will you be in Ghent next month for the WAIC 2012?
