As I am coming from a crowded island [Singapore], just walking through the clean streets of Haria, a village in the Saparua Island, south-east of Maluku, felt immediately soothing. Children playing, animals grazing, neat tidy houses in bright colours, tree lined roads, and people ever ready with a smile and a handshake. There was no litter to be seen around.
