The one on the left runs a care home for children in Russia. What stood out in this SALT visit was that more than toys and other fancy stuff, children greatly value the love they get from the care home staff. Many of the children are kept for short periods as their parents are unable to look after them due to drug abuse. We heard of stories where children who were taken back to the parents, ran away from home and came back to the care home.
