The morning of the Pechakola community started naturally that day, as every day begins in people's daily lives. As the day progressed, I met them while the teenagers and youth members of the community were spending their time in their own way. After meeting them, I noticed that they were roaming around in different places. Then I sat down with them and asked them about the reason for their random wandering. Then they told me that they all wanted to play together but since there was not much space to play in the community, they were not able to spend time together. Then I asked them if they had taken any initiative? Then they said that they had not taken any initiative. They were waiting for the elders or guardians of the community to arrange a place for play. A lot of time passed while thinking about this, but still no place for play was decided.
Then I discussed with them whether we could all sit together one day! We can all discuss this matter. Then I fixed a day to have a dream building session with them.
From that dream building, they dreamed of a playground in their community where they would play. In that dream building, Tamim, Masud, Limon and Kausar all gave their opinions. Then, in their discussion, the abandoned pond area of ​​the community came up. The place was to be prepared as a playground.
Then, they decided that they would clean the place, level the ground and make it suitable for playing. Accordingly, the team 'Cholo Egiye Jai' took the initiative to start work on their own decision. At one point, they started working with the necessary tools including shovels and spades from home. Then, seeing their work, the elders and the children all came forward to help with the work. Seeing everyone working, the enthusiasm and interest of others in the community increased. From then on, the abandoned place became suitable for playing. After it became suitable for playing, the children and the adults expressed interest and immediately organized a cricket match to entertain everyone. After implementing this initiative, they realized that if you have a desire and a dream for something and work together, you can achieve success. Everyone around you agrees with them. The guardians of the community say that if everyone in the society takes this initiative together, the community can see a big change. In this way, they encourage the youth and promise to support them in any such initiative in the future. Now the “Cholo Egiye Jai” team is thinking about how to make this playground even more beautiful.

আমরা পরিবর্তন আনতে পারি: আত্মবিশ্বাস থেকে স্বপ্নের খেলার মাঠে

পেচাঁকোলা কমিউনিটির সকালটি সেদিন স্বাভাবিকভাবেই শুরু হয়েছিল, যেমনটা প্রতিদিন মানুষের দৈনন্দিন জীবনে শুরু হয়। দিনের শুরুতে সময় বাড়ার সঙ্গে সঙ্গে কমিউনিটির কিশোর ও যুব সদস্যরা যে যার মতো করে সময় কাটাচ্ছিল, এমন সময় তাদের সঙ্গে আমার দেখা হয়েছিল। দেখা হবার পর, লক্ষ্য করলাম তারা বিভিন্ন জায়গায় ঘোরাঘুরি করছে। এরপর তাদের সঙ্গে আমি বসি এবং তাদের এলোমেলো ঘোরাঘুরি কারণ সর্ম্পকে জানতে চাই। তারপর আমাকে জানায়, তারা সবাই একসঙ্গে খোলাধুরা করতে চাই কিন্তু কমিউনিটিতে তেমন খেলার জায়গা না থাকায় তারা একত্রে সময় পার করতে পারছে না। এরপর তাদের কাছে জানতে চাই, তারা কোনো উদ্যোগ নিয়েছে কি না? এরপর তারা জানায় কোনো উদ্যোগ নেয়নি । তারা অপেক্ষা করেছিল যে, সমাজের বড়রা বা অভিভাবকরা মিলে খেলাধুলার কোনো জায়গার ব্যবস্থা করে দিবে। এই চিন্তা করতে করতে অনেক সময় পার হয়ে যায়, তবুই খেলাধুলার কোনো জায়গা ঠিক হয়নি।
এরপর তাদের সঙ্গে আলোচনা করি সবাই মিলে একদিন বসা যায় কি না! এই বিষয়ে সবাই আলোচনা করতে পারি। এরপর তাদের সঙ্গে একটি ড্রিম বিল্ডিং সেশন করার দিন নিধারণ করি।
সেই ড্রিম বিল্ডিং থেকে তারা স্বপ্ন দেখে তাদের কমিউনিটিতে একটি খেলার জায়গার যেখানে, তারা খেলাধুলা করবে। সেই ড্রিম বিল্ডিংয়ে তামিম, মাসুদ, লিমন ও কাউসার সহ সবাই মতামত দেয়। এরপরে তাদের আলোচনায় উঠে আসে কমিউনিটির পরিত্যক্ত পুকুরের জায়গাটির কথা। জায়গাটিকে খেলার জায়গা হিসাবে প্রস্তত করার কথা।
এরপর তারা নিজেরা সিদ্ধান্ত নেয় যে, তারা জায়গাটি পরিষ্কার করে, মাটি সমান করে খেলাধুলার উপযোগী করে তুলবে। সে অনুযায়ী টিম ‘চল এগিয়ে যাই’ নিজেদের সিদ্ধান্তে কাজ শুরুর উদ্যোগ নেয়। এক পর্যায়ে তারা নিজেরা বাড়ির থেকে দা, কোদাল সহ প্রয়োজনীয় কাজের যন্ত্রগুলো নিয়ে কাজ শুরু করছিল। এরপর তাদের কাজ দেখে বড়রা, ছোটরা সবাই মিলে কাজে সাহায্য করতে এগিয়ে আসে। সবাইকে কাজ করতে দেখে কমিউনিটির অন্যদের উৎসাহ ও আগ্রহ বেড়ে যায়। তখন থেকে পরিত্যক্ত জায়গাটি খেলার উপযোগী হয়ে উঠে। খেলার ‍উপযোগী হবার পর ছোটরা- বড়রা আগ্রহ প্রকাশ করে তাৎক্ষণিক সবাইকে আনন্দ দেওয়ার জন্য একটি ক্রিকেট ম্যাচের আয়োজন করার জন্য, তাৎক্ষণিক একটি ক্রিকেট ম্যাচ আয়োজন করেছিল। এই উদ্যেগ বাস্তবায়নের পর তারা বুঝতে পারে কোনো কিছুর ইচ্ছা থাকলে ও স্বপ্ন দেখলে এবং সবাই মিলে কাজ করলে সফলতা পাওয়া আসে। তাদের সঙ্গে আশেপাশে সবাই একমত প্রকাশ করে। কমউনিটির অভিভাবকরা জানায়, সমাজে সবাই মিলে এইভাবে উদ্যোগ নিলে কমিউনিটির বড় পরিবর্তন আসতে পারে। এভাবে তারা তরুনদের উৎসাহ এবং প্রতিশ্রুতি দেয় পরবর্তীতে তাদের এমন কোনো উদ্যোগে পাশে থাকবে। এখন “চল এগিয়ে যাই“ টিম চিন্তা করছে কেমন করে এই খেলার জায়গাটিকে আরো কিভাবে সুন্দর করে তোলা যায়।
