A new dream story of becoming self-reliant through needle and thread embroidery

The members of the Rajnigandha group create different types of dreams to fulfill their dreams. One of those dreams was to become self-reliant through needle and thread embroidery. Keeping this dream in mind, group members Drishti and Ritu Ghosh took up a new initiative together.
Drishti and Ritu Ghosh's houses are next to each other. They have a deep friendship and sincere relationship since childhood. So the two started thinking together about how to make something beautiful with needle and thread. One day, they started watching videos of making puja seats on YouTube. There, they saw how many beautiful design seats can be made with needle and thread on a mat.
They were very inspired by the video. After dreaming and planning, they could not wait any longer, when to start working. They took up this initiative mainly inspired by salt.
Then, Ritu Ghosh and Drishti made a total of four seats for puja in their house. Drishishil made two seats of two different designs and Ritu Ghosh also made two seats of two different designs. They were very happy to see this work made by themselves and got the courage to do something new.
They think that it is possible to fulfill the needs of their family by doing this kind of work along with their studies. In the future, they want to work for others on a wage basis. This will not only help them become financially independent, but will also increase their skills.
Although Ritu Ghosh's family is relatively well-off, Drishishil's family lives in financial crisis. Therefore, Drishishil's desire is not only to make seats for worship, but in the future, she will learn various types of sewing including Nakshi Kantha and finance her own education.
This small initiative of theirs is the beginning of a big dream today. Drishishil is not stopping here. Drishishil says that I will not only make seats for others, I will also make Nakshi Kantha in such a way that I can present and sell it online in different places in the country. So that by selling like this, I can become financially independent in my family. Because I don't have any brothers, we are two sisters, my elder sister is married, now I live alone with my parents, my father's income is low, so it is not possible for my father alone to make our family prosperous, that is why I hope for this endeavor. This story of becoming self-reliant through needlework and thread embroidery will inspire other young women to dream anew.

সুই সুতায় নকশি সেলাইয়ের মাধ্যমে স্বাবলম্বী হওয়ার এক নতুন স্বপ্নের গল্প:

রজনীগন্ধা গ্রুপের সদস্যরা নিজেদের স্বপ্ন পূরণের জন্য বিভিন্ন ধরনের ড্রিম তৈরি করেন। সেই ড্রিমগুলোর মধ্যে একটি ছিল সুই-সুতার নকশি সেলাইয়ের মাধ্যমে স্বাবলম্বী হওয়া। এই স্বপ্নকে সামনে রেখেই গ্রুপের সদস্য দৃষ্টিশীল ও ঋতু ঘোষ একসাথে নতুন উদ্যোগ গ্রহণ করেন।
দৃষ্টিশীল ও ঋতু ঘোষের বাড়ি পাশাপাশি। ছোটবেলা থেকেই তাদের মধ্যে গভীর বন্ধুত্ব ও আন্তরিক সম্পর্ক। তাই দুজনে মিলে চিন্তা করতে থাকেন কীভাবে সুই-সুতা দিয়ে সুন্দর কিছু তৈরি করা যায়। একদিন তারা ইউটিউবে পূজার আসন তৈরির ভিডিও দেখতে শুরু করেন। সেখানে তারা দেখেন চটের উপর সুই-সুতার মাধ্যমে কত সুন্দর নকশার আসন তৈরি করা যায়।
ভিডিও দেখে তারা খুব অনুপ্রাণিত হন। ড্রিম ও পরিকল্পনা করার পর যেন আর তর সইছিল না, কবে থেকে কাজ শুরু করবেন। মূলত সল্টের মাধ্যমে অনুপ্রাণিত হয়েই তারা এই উদ্যোগ গ্রহণ করেন।
এরপর ঋতু ঘোষ ও দৃষ্টিশীল নিজেদের বাড়িতে পূজার জন্য মোট চারটি আসন তৈরি করেন। দৃষ্টিশীল দুই ধরনের ডিজাইনের দুইটি আসন এবং ঋতু ঘোষও দুই ধরনের ডিজাইনের দুইটি আসন তৈরি করেন। নিজেদের হাতে তৈরি এই কাজ দেখে তারা খুব আনন্দিত হন এবং আরও নতুন কিছু করার সাহস পান।
তারা মনে করেন, লেখাপড়ার পাশাপাশি এই ধরনের কাজ করে নিজেদের পরিবারের চাহিদা পূরণ করা সম্ভব। ভবিষ্যতে অন্যদের জন্যও মজুরির ভিত্তিতে কাজ করতে চান। এতে যেমন আর্থিকভাবে স্বাবলম্বী হওয়া যাবে, তেমনি দক্ষতাও বাড়বে।
ঋতু ঘোষের পরিবার তুলনামূলক একটু সচ্ছল হলেও দৃষ্টিশীলের পরিবার আর্থিক সংকটের মধ্যে জীবনযাপন করে। তাই দৃষ্টিশীলের ইচ্ছা শুধু পূজার আসন নয়, ভবিষ্যতে নকশিকাঁথাসহ আরও বিভিন্ন ধরনের সেলাইয়ের কাজ শিখে নিজের পড়াশোনার খরচ নিজেই চালাবে।
তাদের এই ছোট উদ্যোগ আজ একটি বড় স্বপ্নের শুরু। দৃষ্টিশীল এখানে থেমে নেই দৃষ্টিশীল বলে আমি শুধু অন্যেরটা নয় আমি এমনভাবে আসন তৈরি করব বা নকশী কাঁথা সেলাই করব যেন আমি সেটাকে অনলাইনে দেশের বিভিন্ন স্থানে উপস্থাপন এবং বিক্রি করতে পারি এটা আমার আশা। যাতে এভাবে বিক্রি করে আমি আমার সংসারে আর্থিকভাবে স্বাবলম্বী হতে পারি। কারণ আমার কোন ভাই নেই আমরা দুই বোন আমার বড় দিদির বিয়ে হয়ে গেছে এখন আমি একা আমার বাবা-মায়ের সাথে থাকি বাবার স্বল্প আয় তাই আমাদের সংসারের স্বচ্ছলতা বাবার একার পক্ষে সম্ভব না এজন্যই আমার মূলত এই চেষ্টার আশা।সুই-সুতার নকশি সেলাইয়ের মাধ্যমে স্বাবলম্বী হওয়ার এই গল্প অন্য তরুণীদেরও নতুন করে স্বপ্ন দেখতে অনুপ্রাণিত করবে।
