That day in Charbin Para was unlike any other. The gentle winter sun, colorful decorations all around, and the festive spirit in the air made the entire community come alive with joy. It was the day of Saraswati Puja—a sacred occasion to seek the blessings of the goddess of knowledge.

The youth team of the community had been preparing for this day for a long time. Their plan was not only to celebrate the festival but also to distribute educational materials among young children, so that on this special day of learning, they could be inspired to dream anew.

In the morning, everyone gathered in front of the beautifully decorated idol adorned with white and yellow flowers. The fragrance of incense and the sound of chants filled the surroundings. After the पूजा rituals, the youth team members got busy with their main task.

Tanmay, Ajay, Suraj, Eka, Joy, Joba, Deepa, and Puja had already prepared the gift packages with care. Each package contained notebooks, pens, pencils, erasers, and a small message: “Learn, move forward, and dream.”

Eka softly said, “May this day bring a new beginning in their lives.

Soon, the children lined up—some wearing yellow panjabis, some in white frocks, some holding flowers. Their eyes sparkled with excitement and curiosity.

First, little Shuvo was called. He stepped forward shyly. Ajay handed him a package and said, “This is for you. Study well, okay?”

Shuvo nodded with a gentle smile and replied, “Yes, brother.”

One by one, all the children received their gifts. Some eagerly flipped through the pages of their new notebooks, while others jumped with joy at the sight of colorful pencils. Their innocent happiness filled the hearts of the youth team members.

Looking at them, Puja said, “See how these small things bring such great joy to them!”

That day, the true meaning of Saraswati Puja became clearer—not just worship, but spreading the light of knowledge was the greatest celebration.

As the sun slowly set, the sound of children’s laughter still echoed in the air. The youth team members looked at each other and realized that their small initiative could one day lead to a big change.

Through the SALT approach, the young members of Charbin Para Community learned how to inspire and motivate children.

Thus, that day of Saraswati Puja in Charbin Para became more than just a festival—it became a shining story of love, education, and hope.

চরবিন পাড়ার সেই দিনটা ছিল অন্যসব দিনের চেয়ে একেবারেই আলাদা। শীতের মৃদু রোদ, চারদিকে সাজসজ্জা, আর বাতাসে ভেসে বেড়ানো উৎসবের আমেজ—সব মিলিয়ে পুরো কমিউনিটি যেন আনন্দে মুখর হয়ে উঠেছিল। দিনটি ছিল সরস্বতী পূজার, বিদ্যার দেবীর আশীর্বাদ পাওয়ার এক পবিত্র আয়োজন।

কমিউনিটির ইয়োথ টিমের ছেলে-মেয়েরা অনেকদিন ধরেই এই দিনটার জন্য প্রস্তুতি নিচ্ছিল। তাদের পরিকল্পনা ছিল—পূজার আনন্দের সঙ্গে সঙ্গে ছোট বাচ্চাদের মধ্যে শিক্ষা উপকরণ বিতরণ করা, যাতে বিদ্যার এই দিনে তারা নতুন করে স্বপ্ন দেখতে পারে।

সকালে পূজামণ্ডপে সাদা-হলুদ ফুল দিয়ে সাজানো প্রতিমার সামনে সবাই জড়ো হলো। ধূপের গন্ধ আর মন্ত্রপাঠের ধ্বনি চারদিকে ছড়িয়ে পড়ছিল। পূজা শেষে ইয়োথ টিমের সদস্যরা ব্যস্ত হয়ে পড়ল তাদের আসল কাজ নিয়ে।

তন্ময়, অজয়,সুরজ,একা,জয়,জবা,দীপা, পূজা—সবাই মিলে আগেই সুন্দর করে প্যাকেট তৈরি করেছিল। প্রতিটি প্যাকেটে ছিল খাতা, কলম, পেন্সিল, রাবার আর ছোট্ট একটি শুভেচ্ছা বার্তা—“শেখো, এগিয়ে যাও, স্বপ্ন দেখো।”

একা আস্তে করে বলল,

“আজকের দিনটা যেন ওদের জীবনে নতুন কিছু শুরু করে দেয়।”

একটু পরেই ছোট ছোট বাচ্চারা সারি করে দাঁড়াল। কারও গায়ে হলুদ পাঞ্জাবি, কারও সাদা ফ্রক, কারও হাতে ফুল। তাদের চোখে ছিল উৎসবের আনন্দ আর অজানা কৌতূহল।

প্রথমে ডাকা হলো ছোট্ট শুভকে। সে একটু লাজুকভাবে এগিয়ে এলো। অজয় তার হাতে একটি প্যাকেট তুলে দিয়ে বলল,

“এগুলো তোমার জন্য। ভালো করে পড়াশোনা করবে, ঠিক আছে?”

শুভ মাথা নেড়ে হালকা হেসে বলল, “জি ভাইয়া।”

এরপর একে একে সবাই তাদের উপহার পেল। কেউ প্যাকেট খুলেই নতুন খাতার পাতা উল্টাতে লাগল, কেউ রঙিন পেন্সিল দেখে আনন্দে লাফিয়ে উঠল। তাদের সেই সরল হাসি দেখে ইয়োথ টিমের সবার মন ভরে গেল।

পূজা সবার দিকে তাকিয়ে বলল,

“দেখো, ছোট্ট এই জিনিসগুলোই ওদের কাছে কত বড় আনন্দ!”

সেদিন সরস্বতী পূজার আসল অর্থ যেন নতুনভাবে ধরা দিল—শুধু পূজা নয়, জ্ঞানের আলো ছড়িয়ে দেওয়াই ছিল সবচেয়ে বড় উৎসব।

চরবিন পাড়ার সেই সরস্বতী পূজার দিনটি তাই শুধু একটি উৎসবের দিন নয়, হয়ে রইল ভালোবাসা, শিক্ষা আর আশার এক উজ্জ্বল গল্প।
