In Bhapara Nichhe Line, two local youths stepped up as volunteer facilitators for a vibrant SALT session with the Child Club, backed by field facilitators Nityam Ghosh and Ujana.
This hands-on approach showcased how community learning spreads—youths applying SALT methods from their own group meetings to inspire kids.
The fun kicked off with an icebreaker: "What do you like to play?" Kids lit up sharing hide-and-seek, pithoo, football, and cricket—building instant trust and energy.
Smartly divided into four groups by counting to four, they swapped stories of helping others, revealing natural empathy in action.
Group 1 highlighted sharing stationery, food, and a touching tale of aiding a sick grandmother with water and medicine.
Group 2 praised a girl who never says no—running errands and supporting neighbors selflessly.
Group 3 emphasized family support, like helping with household chores, teaching kids the value of home teamwork.
Group 4 summed it up: "Always help others"—a simple yet profound lesson from peers.
The After Experience Reflection (AER) sealed the day: Kids felt joyful sharing stories, valued the gathering, and called for more village children to join.
Analysis: This session proves SALT's power—icebreakers spark joy, group stories uncover hidden strengths, and AER cements growth. Youth-led facilitation multiplies impact, fostering self-reliant communities. In child clubs like this, small acts of sharing build lifelong helpers.
