ঘন মেঘে ঢাকা এক দুপুর। বুড়িগোয়ালিনীর মাঠ তখনও রোদ পায়নি।ছেলেরা খেলছে মাঠে আর মাঠের এক পাশে চুপচাপ দাঁড়িয়ে আছে একটা কিশোরী।তার চোখ জোড়া যেন আগুনে ভরা—জ্বলছে কোনো অদেখা স্বপ্নে।কারো চোখে কৌতূহল বলে মনে হলেও তার চোখে ছিল অদম্য এক আকাঙ্ক্ষা।কিন্তু সেই স্বপ্নের পাশে দাঁড়ানো ছিল ভয় আর প্রতিবন্ধকতা।

এই মেয়েটির নাম শিবানি মুন্ডা।কেউ জানতো না,মাঠের ধারে দাঁড়িয়ে থাকা এই মেয়েটিই একদিন গোলপোস্টের নিচে দাঁড়িয়ে রক্ষা করবে তার পুরো দলকে।কেউ ভাবতেও পারেনি সমাজের নিয়ম ভেঙে একটা মেয়ে ফুটবল খেলবে।কিন্তু এ স্বপ্ন দেখা কি সহজ?বিশেষ করে বুড়িগোয়ালিনীর মতো প্রত্যন্ত অঞ্চলে যেখানে মেয়েদের নিরাপত্তা এখনো প্রশ্নবিদ্ধ সেখানে ফুটবলার হওয়ার স্বপ্ন দেখা যেন একপ্রকার ‘অপরাধ’।শিবানি মুন্ডা সেই চ্যালেঞ্জটা নিয়েই এগিয়েছেন।শৈশবে অন্য মেয়েরা যখন খেলনা পাতিল আর ঘরগৃহস্থালির খেলায় ব্যস্ত শিবানি তখন ফুটবলের টানে ছেলেদের মাঠে পা রাখেন।ফুটবল তার ধমনিতে তার রক্তে মিশে গেছে।কিন্তু সমাজ কি তাকে সহজে এই পথ পেরোতে দিয়েছে?তার নিজের পরিবারই ছিল প্রথম বাধা।বাবা স্পষ্ট জানিয়ে দিয়েছিলেন,"মেয়ে হয়ে ফুটবল খেলা মানায় না,সংসারই তোমার ভবিষ্যৎ।" সমাজের লোকেরা কথার তীর ছুড়তে ছাড়েনি—"মেয়েদের এমন খেলাধুলায় কী দরকার?" কিন্তু শিবানি চুপ ছিলেন না।তিনি প্রতিবাদ করেছেন, লড়াই করেছেন,নিজের জায়গাটা তৈরি করেছেন।তবে এই কঠিন যাত্রায় একমাত্র সহায় হয়ে পাশে ছিলেন তার মা।মায়ের শক্তি আর ভালোবাসাই শিবানির এগিয়ে চলার রসদ।সেই শক্তি নিয়েই তিনি স্বপ্ন দেখেন দেশের সীমানা পেরিয়ে আন্তর্জাতিক অঙ্গনে খেলার।
বিকেএসপিতে সুযোগ পাওয়ার আশায় ছিল শিবানি।কিন্তু বয়স বেশি হওয়ায় বাদ পড়েন।স্বপ্নের দুয়ার বন্ধ হয়ে যাচ্ছে মনে হলেও হাল ছাড়েননি।কোচ তখন আশার আলো হয়ে এগিয়ে এলেন নতুন করে গড়লেন তাকে।ফুটবল,বুট,গ্লাভস—সবকিছু নতুন করে হাতে তুলে দিয়ে আবারও মাঠে ফিরিয়ে আনলেন শিবানিকে।আজ তিনি একজন গোলকিপার,দলের অন্যতম ভরসা।তিনি জানেন যদি তিনি নিজের সেরাটা দেন তার প্রভাব পুরো দলের পারফরম্যান্সে পড়বে।সেই দায়িত্ব নিয়েই খেলে যাচ্ছেন।যশোর,মাগুরা,রাজশাহীসহ বিভিন্ন জেলা পর্যায়ের টুর্নামেন্টে চ্যাম্পিয়ন হয়েছেন নিজের নামের পাশে যোগ করেছেন সাফল্যের নতুন অধ্যায়।শুধু নিজের স্বপ্ন নিয়েই ব্যস্ত নন শিবানি।তিনি দেখেছেন তার কমিউনিটির শিশুরা যখন বাবা-মায়ের অনুপস্থিতিতে অসুরক্ষিত থাকে,বিপথে চলে যায়।তাই তিনি সিদ্ধান্ত নিলেন,তাদের জন্য কিছু করবেন।ফুটবল শেখানো শুরু করলেন শিশুদের,যাতে তারা খেলার মাধ্যমে নিজেদের নিরাপদ রাখতে পারে।তার এই প্রচেষ্টায় বদল আসতে শুরু করেছে।অন্য বাবা-মায়েরাও এখন বুঝতে শুরু করেছেন, মেয়েদের শুধু ঘরের ভেতর বন্দি রেখে দেওয়া নয় তাদেরও স্বপ্ন দেখার অধিকার আছে।শিবানির বন্ধুরাও খেলাধুলার মাধ্যমে বাজে সঙ্গ ত্যাগ করেছে,জীবন নিয়ে নতুন করে ভাবতে শিখেছে।
সমাজের বাধা,পরিবারের বাঁধন—সবকিছুকে উপেক্ষা করে শিবানি আজও স্বপ্ন দেখেন।হতাশা নয়,নিরাশা নয়—এই চ্যালেঞ্জগুলোকেই তিনি শক্তি হিসেবে নিচ্ছেন।একদিন তিনি শুধু একজন ফুটবলার হিসেবেই নয়,একজন সফল কোচ হিসেবেও নিজেকে প্রতিষ্ঠিত করতে চান।পড়াশোনা আর খেলাধুলার মধ্যে ভারসাম্য রেখে তিনি সামনে এগিয়ে যাচ্ছেন,যেন তার গল্প আরও অনেক মেয়েকে অনুপ্রেরণা জোগায়।

শিবানি মুন্ডা একজন স্বপ্নবাজ।তিনি জানেন,স্বপ্ন পূরণের পথ সহজ নয় কিন্তু থেমে গেলে চলবে না।তিনি লড়াই চালিয়ে যাবেন,কারণ তার গল্পটা কেবল ব্যক্তিগত সাফল্যের নয়,পুরো সমাজকে বদলে দেওয়ার এক দৃঢ় সংকল্পের প্রতিচ্ছবি।

The Story of a Brave Girl Who Dared to Dream

A cloudy afternoon.The field of Burigoalini hadn’t seen the sun yet.Boys were playing on the field, and at one corner stood a silent teenage girl.Her eyes seemed to burn with unseen flames—blazing with a dream no one could see.To some, her eyes may have seemed curious, but within them was an unstoppable longing. Yet beside that dream stood fear and obstacles.

The girl’s name was Shibani Munda. No one knew that the same girl standing quietly by the field would one day stand beneath the goalpost, guarding her entire team. No one imagined that a girl would break societal norms to play football. But is dreaming that easy? Especially in a remote area like Burigoalini, where the safety of girls is still a question—dreaming of becoming a footballer feels almost like a ‘crime’.
Shibani Munda moved forward accepting that very challenge. While other girls in her childhood played with toy utensils and household games, Shibani stepped onto the boys’ field drawn by the pull of football. Football flowed through her veins, mingled with her blood. But did society let her walk this path easily?Her own family was her first barrier. Her father clearly told her, “Football doesn’t suit a girl—your future is the household.” People in the community didn’t stop throwing words like arrows—“Why do girls need such sports?” But Shibani didn’t stay silent. She protested, she fought, and she created her own place.Yet in this tough journey, her only support was her mother. Her mother’s strength and love became Shibani’s fuel to keep going. With that strength, she dreams of crossing the country’s borders and playing on international grounds.
Shibani had hoped to get into BKSP. But due to being over-aged, she was rejected. Even though it felt like the doors to her dreams were closing, she didn’t give up. Her coach held her hand tightly, rebuilt her. With a football, boots, gloves—everything handed anew, Shibani returned to the field once more.Today, she is a goalkeeper—one of the team’s most trusted players. She knows that if she gives her best, it will reflect in the team’s entire performance. Carrying that responsibility, she keeps playing. She has been a champion in district-level tournaments in Jessore, Magura, Rajshahi, and others—adding new chapters of success beside her name.
Shibani is not only busy chasing her own dream. She has seen how children in her community, when left unsupervised by parents, fall into unsafe paths. So, she decided to do something for them. She started teaching football to children so that they could protect themselves through the game.Change has begun through her efforts. Even parents are starting to understand now that girls are not to be kept locked inside—they too have the right to dream. Her friends have also left bad company through sports and started rethinking their lives.Defying social barriers and family restrictions, Shibani still dares to dream.
Not despair, not hopelessness—she draws strength from these very challenges. One day, she hopes to establish herself not only as a footballer but also as a successful coach. Balancing her studies with her passion for sports, she keeps moving forward—hoping her story will inspire many more girls.

Shibani Munda is a dreamer.
She knows that the path to fulfilling dreams is not easy—but giving up is not an option. She will keep fighting, because her story is not just one of personal success, but a reflection of a determined will to bring change to her entire community.
