Introduction to a different perspective; my first ever SALT conversation!

I am Mihsan Bin Maksud, working as an intern in Grow Your Reader Foundation. I took part in my first-ever SALT conversation in the month of March. I had a very pleasant SALT converse with one of my much esteemed coworkers. I was able to open up about something in that one specific conversation that I had never been able to accomplish in the millions of conversations I had had up until that point in my life. It was very pleasant and revitalizing. I felt as though a large stone had been removed from my heart. I felt so lighthearted. In the conversation, I got to hear from the opposing side. I was greatly motivated and positively influenced by listening to the narrative that my colleague presented. It strengthened our relationship and improved the way we thought. Both of us expressed gratitude, and I think it strengthened, empowered, and increased our consciousness. Following the conversations, we had a group discussion in which we candidly discussed our thoughts and feelings. We could be really open and honest with one another, which was not something I thought we could do before. As the conversation went on, I also noted that it seemed really productive and that we were getting more inspired to share our opinions and listen to one another. We get a lot of great energy when we hear someone else recognize and appreciate what we've done, and I believe this is crucial for someone's development into a more self-assured and mature person. The exchange, in my opinion, slightly altered the trajectory of my life. I have been more positive, inspired, introspective, and aware of the people around me ever since. I consider the SALT discourse to be among the greatest things that have happened to me recently, and I'm quite happy that I participated in it. I'm excited to start and take part in an increasing number of SALT discussions.

Rituu B. Nanda Thanks for the appreciation! I was able to open up during the SALT conversation because of the flow of the conversation and also the person I was having the conversation with gave me such a feeling of security which helped me a lot to open up.

Thanks Mihsan for the great reflection. Why helped you to open up during the SALT conversation?

SALT is a medium that brings people's emotions to the fore. People talk to us about their feelings. Salt changes us and changes our attitude towards others. We were listeners.
