"We will not influence final decision making by the TMJ Community" - Sifting the After Event Reflection (AER) for Evidence of Community Ownership

Members of the Thanjavur Medical Journal (TMJ) Community, had its first online meeting about a week ago. The main point was to discuss sources of funding to start the Journal. 

After this online meeting, I posted the points discussed in the TMJ WhatsApp groups of over 460 doctors, which sparked of a series of discussions. Presented is one of the points from the After Event Reflection (AER) of the online meeting that took place for a couple of days after the online meeting.

Let me unpack, or unravel this mechanism of Management growth.

Here in the word "Management" only refers to the TMJ Community itself managing or deciding what is best for TMJ Community. This sort of TMJ Community taking decisions is of, by, and for the TMJ Community.

Examples from the last few days of TMJ Community decisions that have over ruled our dream for the time being is jettisoning of BMJ as a Publisher for the TMJ, though till then BMJ was the highest scorer on the Priority Matrix, by all those who filled in the Priority Matrix for choosing a Publisher.

Another example of TMJ Community decisions that have over ruled our dream for the time being is the TMJ Editorial and Trustees Board Decision of having the President of the Royal College, Glasgow, to launch the inaugural issue of our Thanjavur Medical Journal on 24 Jan 24. Because of criticism of cost of TMJ and its launch costs, Prof Dr. SMR had to rewrite to the President of the Royal College that the launch date is rescheduled indefinitely.

Also, this proves that while Dr. Prof V. V. R. the founding father of both TMCAA and TMJ, along with the Editorial and Trustees board may have dreams of TMJ, it is ultimately the TMJ Community decides how, and when, the TMJ Community will respond to this dream.
