Spot on Joao! Nice to finally see you talking after our chat and email interactions. Your point is valuable. However, I do think that there is space for external 'technical support'. The question is for what? To enforce 'best practices' to communities, probably not....But perhaps on other areas sharing and learning can be extremely valuable. The important thing is: with what attitude and mindset will the technical 'consultant' engage with the organization and the communities? What do you think?

How are the political studies going? Take care and all the best.

Thank you Ricardo for capturing these amazing videos! I'm really touched by all the voices in Mozambique. It is like being there with you.

Thank you Joao for sharing with the world what you have learned. I totally agree with you that the ACP reduces the need for financial and technical assistance, because people are the actors of their own life. Even with a handicap, you can do so much by yourself... You know your situation best and can become a champion in your community.

Do you see that disabled people deal a lot with low self-esteem? That they lack confidence? Do they sometimes self-discriminate? How do you deal with this?

Laurence
