I am a 28 year old Nigerian with a strong passion for humanitarian work. My philosophy as a person is; you can only be adequately fulfilled in life when those around you have a positive cause to emulate you. My goal and career aspiration is to become a seasoned social advocate and administrator. I enjoy doing and making a success in those important things that many neglect.
I graduated from Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka with a BA Hons. in Philosophy with major interest in Socio/Political Philosophy (2006). I obtained a Certificate in Computer Desktop Publishing from Afrihub Institute, Nigeria (2006). In 2008, I was awarded a Certificate in Management and became a Graduate Member of the prestigious Nigerian Charted Institute of Management. In order to gather more knowledge and skills in advocacy work, I enrolled and graduated with a Certificate through a UNDP Scholarship for a 3 month UNDP Virtual School Course in Essentials of Anti-Corruption and Human Development. In March 2012, I was awarded another scholarship by North South Centre of Council of Europe and European Commission for a Network University Course in Global Education: Intercultural and Human Rights Dimensions which I have successfully completed. At present, am participating in a course on Public Health.
Immediately after my University Education in 2006, I joined Ngo Hygie-Enwerem Foundation; an NGO established for human rights, gender and health issues as the Assistant Programme Officer. At this organization, I gained a lot of experience in clerical/administrative tasks in reproductive health and human rights issues relating to Children, youths and women’s rights.
During my participation in the National Youth Service Corp, I had a brief stint as a teacher at Mayo-Belwa Secondary School, Mayo-Belwa, Adamawa State, Nigeria between 2007 and 2008. I thought English and Government in this School.
After my National Service, I joined Association for Eradication of Corruption in Nigerians (ASSERCORN) in 2009, an NGO established for anti-corruption, youth’s attitudinal re-orientation, democratic sustenance and human rights protection as a Programme Officer.
In addition, in 2012, I became the Project Coordinator of Advocates for Youth and Health Development; It was established for youth’s political enlightenment, peacebuilding, human rights protection and health development.
To become a seasoned advocate and administrator.
