The Majhi Haram system has been in operation in our tribal community for a long time, a few years ago it was a little different, but here it has changed. Earlier there was a Majhi Haram system in 4-5 villages around, now it is in operation in every village. 5 main members play a role in the Majhi Haram system. Out of these five, the main role is played by "Manji Baba", then "Paranik", "Jak Manji", "Nayek", "Gadet", if the management is not good, then it is changed after a year. This change is done during the last festival of the tribals, Baha Puja (Dol Utsav). While forming the Manji Haram system, after taking the opinion of everyone in the village, it is decided who is eligible for which post, then the decision is taken with the opinion of everyone. But everyone thinks that the elders are eligible for all these posts because most people think that the younger boys can give their time because they are busy with various tasks, and the elders are always at home and everyone listens to them and respects them.
After the formation of the Manji Haram system, "Manji Baba is the main person in charge. His job is to properly manage the village and treat all the people of the village equally, then do the development work of the village and judge correctly".

"After this, there is Paranik Baba. His job is to do the work of "Manji Baba" in the absence of Manji Baba.

"Jak Manji Baba's job is to perform all the duties from birth to death when a girl or boy is born in the village. For example, if a girl is born, how will the marriage take place, when will the sindoor be given, when will the girl or boy be blessed? He does all these things. Even after death, he has to do these things.
"Naike Baba (who performs puja as a priest) performs all the pujas in the village. But in the tribal community, no idols are worshipped. Our gods and goddesses are mountains, forests, trees and stones."

"Gadet's job was to convey the news to everyone in the village whenever Manji Baba called a meeting or gathering. Besides, Manji Baba, Paranik, Nike, Jak Manji Baba, all lent a helping hand.

"গাদেতের কাজ হলো যখনই মাঞ্জি বাবা কোন সভা বা সমাবেশ ডাকেন, তখন গ্রামের সকলের কাছে খবর পৌঁছে দেওয়া। তাছাড়া, মাঞ্জি বাবা, পরানিক, নাইকে, জাক মাঞ্জি বাবা, সকলেই সাহায্যের হাত বাড়িয়ে দিয়েছিলেন।

Since the tribal community has women and youth living in this committee, I think that just as the Manjhi Haram system is doing developmental work for the village, women and youth should be given opportunities to do community development work. Then all kinds of development work can be done in the village. They can also do a lot of development work in the village.
