Hi everyone, I am Dheeraj from a Rural Aid organization sharing our hearty learning experience with each other about “ how transformative power plays a vital role towards collective leadership” in the organization.
After engaging with SALT, staff observed that Mamina and Dhiraj had started to share their power and roles with other team members. This change encouraged several staff, mainly those facilitating SALT,to begin contributing their some field experiences while writing proposals often, handling emails, social media updates, record documentations (access of google drive, written format and photography), and other organizational related work. This reflection led to a discussion on why some staff had taken greater responsibility for the organization, even after a leadership training conducted by an external consultant.
Pancham raised an important question, noting that the leadership training had not brought much change.
Dhiraj added, “Leadership training is mostly theoretical but more important it should be reflected in our work as practical.” The team agreed that SALT had helped them gain confidence, recognizes their own their own strengths, and develop a stronger sense of purpose. Now, Pancham, Nityam, and Ujana listen to the community and make decisions based on what they hear.
Earlier Mamina and Dhiraj took these decisions; now they follow what Pancham, Nityam, and Ujana propose, showing a decentralization of decision-making to the team closest to the community.

Beautiful reflection! Truly inspiring to see how shared power and trust can transform a whole team into real leaders. 🌼
