Colleagues, participants, human beings to appropriately understand, there must be dialogue; for change to be sustainable, significant, and quantum there must be a change in mind-set…the old way of doing thing begs for change…how timely this salt visit.

In the Arab countries, an agreement was sealed with a gift of salt to show the strength and permanence of the contract: In the book of Matthew, 5:13 (a book in the Bible) believers are called “the salt of the earth”. Let the salt you use each day remind you that you are now one of God’s covenant people who actively help preserve and purify the world.

Salt is a good symbol of God’s activity in a person’s life, because it penetrates, preserves and aids in healing. God wants to be active in your life. Let Him become part of you, penetrating every aspect of your life, preserving you from the evil all around and healing you of your sins and shortcomings.

Our mind-set, correct or incorrect, are the sources of our attitudes and behavior and ultimately our relationship with others; be reminded that for every thousand roughly cutting away at the leaves of evil (manipulation, vindictiveness, envy, greed, selfishness…) there is one striking at the root, that one is “The Voice Of One-Overcomers Club”; this salt has not lost its flavor, therefore it shall not be thrown out and trampled underfoot.

In conclusion to this contribution know for a fact or preferably a principle, if we continue trying to change outward attitudes and behaviors we will continue to fail; we have to thoroughly examine the basic mind-set from which those attitudes and behaviors flow.

Cordially,

Anderson Figaro.

Dear Anderson,

I like (Appreciate) how you have connected SALT of ACP with that of the Bible.

Reading the lines you quoted of Jesus' sermon of the Mount, from St Matthew's gospel: 'Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, werewith shall it be salted ' ( Translated as -You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again )

The Dictionary of Phrase and Fable says it suggests that the disciples should give the world an interesting flavour, and not that they were simply jolly good chaps.

Accordingly, as you suggest, we the whole group who were in the workshop at T&T must become disciples of SALT, practicing it in our daily lives, and become an epitome or shining model of SALT ourselves, so that others are attracted to ACP by the SALT of our behaviour, attitude, and character! You have given me a new thought. So, Let me give it a new try!
