‎‎চরবিন পাড়া কমিউনিটির কথা বললে এখন অনেকেই একটি নাম উচ্চারণ করেন, ‘জাগরণ’।
‎একটি দল, যেখানে বিশজন কিশোর-কিশোরী একসাথে স্বপ্ন দেখে, সাহস নিয়ে কাজ করে, আর সমাজে পরিবর্তনের বাতাস বইয়ে দেয়। তারা শুধু একটি ইয়ুথ টিম নয়, তারা এক নতুন প্রজন্মের প্রতিনিধি, যাদের হাত ধরে চরবিন পাড়া ধীরে ধীরে জেগে উঠছে অন্ধকার থেকে আলোয়। এই ছেলে-মেয়েরা কেউ বড় শহরে বেড়ে ওঠেনি। তারা এসেছে সাধারণ পরিবারের মধ্য থেকে, যেখানে জীবনের সংগ্রাম, সামাজিক বাঁধা, এবং অবহেলা নিত্যসঙ্গী। কিন্তু SALT পদ্ধতির মাধ্যমে তারা নিজেরা নিজেদের ভেতরের শক্তিকে চিনতে শিখেছে। SALT তাদের শুধু “প্রশ্ন করা” শেখায়নি, বরং শিখিয়েছে “নিজের ভেতরে উত্তর খোঁজার” সাহস। আর সেই সাহস থেকেই জন্ম নেয় ‘জাগরণ ইয়ুথ টিম’। চরবিন পাড়ায় একসময় বাল্যবিবাহ ছিল এক নিঃশব্দ অভ্যাস। ১২-১৫ বছরের মেয়েদের বিয়ে হয়ে যেত, তাদের কণ্ঠ কেউ শুনত না। কিন্তু এখন সেই গল্প বদলে গেছে। ‘জাগরণ’ টিমের ছেলে-মেয়েরা একের পর এক বাল্যবিবাহ বন্ধ করছে, নিজ উদ্যোগে, নিজেদের সাহস আর ঐক্যের জোরে। এ পর্যন্ত তারা চারটি বাল্যবিবাহ বন্ধ করেছে, সেটাও কোনো এনজিও বা প্রশাসনের সহায়তা ছাড়াই। একজন বাবা যখন বলেছিলেন, “আমার মেয়েকে আমি বিয়ে দিচ্ছি, এটা আমার ব্যাপার,” তখন ওই টিমের ছেলে-মেয়েরা উত্তর দিয়েছিল, “আপনার মেয়ে আমাদেরও বোন, আমরা তাকে হারাতে দেব না।” এই একবাক্য যেন পুরো কমিউনিটিতে আগুন জ্বেলে দিয়েছিল, এক আগুন, যা অন্যায়ের বিরুদ্ধে প্রতিবাদের প্রতীক। ‘জাগরণ’ শুধু বাল্যবিবাহের বিরুদ্ধেই নয়, সমাজের অন্যান্য সমস্যা নিয়েও কাজ করছে।
‎তাদের অন্যতম কাজ হলো জুয়া ও মাদকবিরোধী প্রচারণা। একদিন তারা সাহস করে তাদের বাবাদের বিরুদ্ধেও দাঁড়িয়েছিল, কারণ তারা বুঝেছে, ভালোবাসা মানে কখনো কখনো প্রতিবাদও হতে পারে। তাদের স্পষ্ট বক্তব্য ছিল, “জুয়া খেলা আমাদের কমিউনিটিতে হবে না। যদি কেউ খেলতে চায়, বাইরে গিয়ে খেলবে।”
‎ফলাফল, আজ চরবিন পাড়ায় জুয়া অনেকাংশে কমে এসেছে। মানুষ বুঝেছে, ছেলে-মেয়েরা শুধু ঘরের ভেতরের থাকার জন্য নয়, তারা সমাজের রক্ষকও হতে পারে। তরুণদের মধ্যে মোবাইল ফোনের প্রভাব আজ এক বড় সমস্যা। কিন্তু ‘জাগরণ’ এই চ্যালেঞ্জকেও সুযোগে পরিণত করেছে। তারা মোবাইল আসক্তি নিয়ে পোস্টারিং করেছে, এবং ছেলেদের অনুপ্রাণিত করেছে খেলাধুলা ও সামাজিক কাজে যুক্ত হতে। আজ যারা আগে সারাদিন মোবাইলে ডুবে থাকত, তারা এখন মাঠে খেলছে, ছোট বাচ্চাদের পড়াশোনায় সাহায্য করছে। এটাই পরিবর্তনের আসল ছবি, যেখানে সচেতনতা জন্ম দেয় আশার। SALT পদ্ধতির মূল দর্শন হলো “শোনা, প্রশংসা করা, শেখা এবং একসাথে কাজ করা।” জাগরণ টিমের মেয়েরা এই চারটি গুণই নিজেদের জীবনে প্রয়োগ করেছে। তারা আর অপেক্ষা করে না কেউ এসে তাদের জন্য কিছু করবে, তারা নিজেরাই করে, নিজেরাই শেখে, নিজেরাই বদলায়। আজ তাদের সাহস দেখে অভিভাবকেরাও অনুপ্রাণিত হন। অনেক বাবা-মা এখন বলেন, “আমার মেয়ে যদি জাগরণ টিমে থাকে, আমি নিশ্চিন্ত।” এই মেয়েদের মধ্যে এক ধরনের অদম্য সৎ সাহসিকতা আছে। ‎ওরা হয়তো অর্থে ধনী নয়, কিন্তু মানসে ও মননে অগাধ সম্পদশালী। ওদের ভেতরে লুকিয়ে আছে প্রতিভা, শক্তি, আর ভালোবাসার অসীম উৎস। চরবিন পাড়ার জাগরণ টিমের মেয়েরা প্রমাণ করেছে, পরিবর্তন শুরু হয় মন থেকে, আর সেই মন পরিবর্তনের সবচেয়ে বড় হাতিয়ার হলো সাহস ও একতা। আজ জাগরণ টিম শুধু চরবিন পাড়ার নয়, বরং পুরো সমাজের জন্য এক দৃষ্টান্ত। তারা দেখিয়ে দিয়েছে, যখন মেয়েরা নিজেরা নিজের শক্তি চিনতে শেখে, তখন পুরো কমিউনিটি বদলে যায়। তাদের গল্প আমাদের শেখায়, একটি প্রশ্ন, একটি আলোচনাই বদলে দিতে পারে একটি সমাজের মানসিকতা। SALT-এর মাধ্যমে জাগরণ টিমের মেয়েরা শুধু নিজেদের নয়, বরং তাদের চারপাশের মানুষদের মনেও জাগিয়ে তুলেছে এক নতুন ভাবনা।

‎When people talk about the Chorbin Para community today, one name frequently comes up, “Jagoron”. It is a group of twenty young boys and girls who dream together, work with courage, and spread the winds of change in their community. They are not just a youth team; they are the voice of a new generation — a generation that is leading Chor bin Para from darkness into light. These young people did not grow up in big cities. They come from ordinary families where struggle, social barriers, and neglect are a part of daily life. But through the SALT approach, they have learned to recognize their inner strength. SALT has not only taught them to “ask questions,” but also to “find answers within themselves.”
‎And from that courage, the Jagoron Youth Team was born. There was a time when child marriage was a silent norm in Charbin Para. Girls aged 12 to 15 were married off, and no one heard their voices. But now, that story has changed. The boys and girls of Jagoron have been stopping child marriages — with their own initiative, courage, and unity, without any help from NGOs or authorities. Once, when a father said, “It’s my decision to marry off my daughter,” the team responded, “Your daughter is also our sister, and we will not let her be lost.”
‎That one sentence sparked a fire across the community, a fire that became a symbol of resistance against injustice. But Jagoron’s mission didn’t stop there. The team has also taken a strong stand against gambling and drug abuse. One day, they even stood up against their own fathers, understanding that true love sometimes means the courage to protest.
‎Their clear message was, “There will be no gambling in our community. If anyone wants to play, they can go elsewhere.” As a result, gambling has greatly reduced in Charbin Para. People have begun to realize that young people are not just meant to stay inside their homes, they can also be the protectors of their society. In today’s world, mobile addiction is a major issue among youth. But Jagoron turned this challenge into an opportunity. They organized poster campaigns about mobile addiction and inspired boys to join sports and social work. Those who once spent their days glued to phones now play in the field and help younger children with their studies. This is the true picture of transformation, where awareness gives birth to hope. The core philosophy of the SALT approach is “to listen, to appreciate, to learn, and to work together." The girls of Jagoron have applied these four values in their lives. They no longer wait for someone else to make a change, they act, they learn, and they transform themselves. Seeing their courage, even parents have become inspired. Many now proudly say,
‎“If my daughter is part of Jagoron, I feel at peace.” These girls possess an incredible inner strength. They may not be rich in money, but they are rich in spirit and wisdom. Within them lies immense potential, power, and love. The girls of Charbin Para’s Jagoron Team have proved that real change begins in the mind, and the greatest tools for that change are courage and unity. Today, Jagoron is not only a symbol of pride for Charbin Para but also an inspiration for the entire society. Their story teaches us that one question, one conversation, can change the mindset of a whole community.
‎Through SALT, the girls of Jagoron have not only awakened themselves — they have also awakened new thinking in everyone around them.
