We drive at a speed of 200 miles an hour after the orientation session Kinshasa!

Three weeks ago, I attended from 03 to 06 May 2010 at the orientation session in Kinshasa with other facilitators in all provinces of the DRC and Programming Coordination Officers Provincial Multisectoral National Programme for the Fight against AIDS (PNMLS). This meeting is the first stage of the project "Support to Community Initiatives," which lasted eight months.
The meeting went very well. It was an opportunity to meet other facilitators of the DRC, as the friends of Kinshasa, Lubumbashi, Bandundu, Equateur, Province Orientale, Maniema, Kivu and Kasai even two. We had already exchanged email with friends facilitators but there we were able to meet face-to-face and we shared a lot.
We exchanged a lot of approach Pair Education in relation to the SALT approach. The advantage of the approach is that peer education works well for groups of people, such as young people. For cons, the facilitator is an expert and there is no sharing between members of the community. SALT approach allows the community to identify its strengths and exchange.
Each city has developed its Action Plan for the next eight months. At Matadi, where I am Focal Point, we have already planned a debriefing meeting with the Provincial Coordination PNMLS / Bas-Congo and field visits to identify communities and structures involved in the project.
During the session, PNMLS friends were so enthusiastic about the approach. One day at table, a person PNMLS told us: "Oh, really friends if PNMLS could introduce this approach earlier, we would have had great results! ".
My colleague PNMLS, Mrs. Patience Bomana asked me on the plane when we came in Kinshasa: "The SALT is a new software? "I told him jokingly that no, it's a community approach. At the end of the meeting, she said, "I am confident that this approach will produce results. I want that the approach is not limited to 8 months but there is a continuity.
In short, we came to run at 200 miles an hour by Matadi and I am confident for the next steps.

Merci pour l'échange, le pair education et le SALT ne sont pas deux logiciels incomptatibles. Je melange le deux, je trouve superbe le resultat. Exemple l'autoévaluation permet aux pairs de savoir le niveau depart et de faire une planification d'ensemble. Les revues après actions me permettent de faire une autre évaluation avec des indicateurs communautaires et non scientifiques;
Salut
