Just wanted to share my passion

From my experiences working with strenghtbased development with teenagers, individuals and families for many years and from my experience as manager and now consultant in leadership organisational and community development... I believe that it is all about the same thing

How can we make people feel that they are important for the whole? How can we support people to create meaning in their life?

How can we find ways that honors peoples unique experiences and understanding, ways that value what is important for people in their life - things that creates meaning in their life

How can we find ways to involve people in their own preferred future, to make them realize that they have a lot of strenghts and resourses? To make people arise from their resourses

How can we support people to create an image of in what direction they would like to go and how it would look like? How they can use all these resourses and develop them further towards the future they would like to have for themselves and others.

How do we involve people, make them feel important, support them to see their own resourses, make people feel more selfconfident that enables them to take responsibility for their own life

There is not a more wonderful work to be a part of, being a skill spotter and explorer of what is good and what works and at the same time create hope and energy to move toward the future!

Humans are like seeds under the right circumstances they will grow!!

This is what I would like to go on being a part of for the future!

My warm regards to everyone in the network! With Hope for the future!

What a wonderful world we will experience when we explore and notice all the good and wonderful things that is out there. To be connected and get lovely responses make me feel exited. There is so much fantastic work going on in the world and these last days I have realized that even more thanks to this network. We are not alone and there is so much opportunities to be a part of creating the future we would like to live in. To be the change we want to see. (Ghandi) Thanks for all lovely welcoming into the network. Sunshine from Sweden and Kicki

Hi Kicki,

We share exactly the same passion :-) it makes me feel happy to connect with someone like you. It feels like home already, although we have never met.

Today, Marijo reminded me of something really important. What inspires us is not only to appreciate others strengths but also to see our own strengths. When we go in a community and we appreciate people's strengths it also helps us to see our strengths in appreciation :-) you see what I mean?
Marijo, you want to add something? You explained it so well...

Welcome on board! Please be aware that you can always join any Constellation event in the world. You can find all our activities in the calendar: http://www.aidscompetence.org/en/pages/100-join-a-salt-team

Thank you Kiki. What a wonderful articulation of what we often see happening, but that we often can't really phrase. It's exactly this. It's not about us as NGOs, UN, governments that should feel better after having 'helped' the poor communities. No, success means that the community feels good and proud on what it has achieved itself. We are just 'a midwife' that facilitated the delivery. A strong distinction exists there.

Please have a look on our website on some of the tools we use to reveal strengths and stimulate action: http://www.aidscompetence.org/en/8-community-life-competence-process

Regards from Kinshasa where we see incredible community strengths that my own country (Netherlands) can learn a lot from.

Yes, yes, and yes! These are the questions!

Quietly sending the signal "More is in you", and then putting in place the means for colleagues, friends and familly to fulfill their potential. Then the joy of seeing others grow is immense.

Thanks Kiki. Hope to meet you some day.
