Knowledge Fair: My Reflections

On Friday, April 24, 2026, Alokito Kori "Knowledge Fair" was a lively and educational event. It was held in the Harijan Community of Narayanganj. The entire event was marked by the active participation of the community, which made it even more special.
When we, the BRED Team, arrived there, we saw children, youth and adolescents busy arranging the venue, organizing activities and leading. Seeing their initiative, sense of responsibility and mentality of working together, it is clear how leadership is created within the community and how it is gradually strengthened.
At the beginning of the event, Rupali's inspiring story touched us deeply. Her confidence increased a lot after recognizing her inner strength and potential through the salt process. She learned beadwork on her own initiative and is now teaching others. This shows that when a person starts changing herself, it affects others as well.
Apart from that, Pinki Didi's initiative was also very important. He is doing various positive things including getting children admitted to school. His efforts teach us that even small initiatives can bring about big changes, if we work consistently.
◑ Learnings from this event:
- If the people of the community take responsibility, then a lot is possible without external help.
- Awakening one's inner strength and confidence is the first step to change.
- One person's good initiative inspires others and gradually brings about change in the entire community.
- Change is more sustainable when children and youth are involved.
All in all, the knowledge fair was not just an event, it was an important experience to learn, get inspired and think about one's work in a new way.

শিরোনাম- জ্ঞানের মেলা: আমার প্রতিফলন

২৪ এপ্রিল ২০২৬, শুক্রবার আলোকিত কুড়ির “জ্ঞানের মেলা” ছিল একটি প্রাণবন্ত ও শেখার মতো আয়োজন। এটি অনুষ্ঠিত হয় নারায়ণগঞ্জের হরিজন কমিউনিটিতে। পুরো আয়োজনজুড়ে ছিল কমিউনিটির মানুষের সক্রিয় অংশগ্রহণ, যা একে আরও অন্যরকম করে তুলেছিল।
আমরা ব্রেড টিম সেখানে পৌঁছে দেখি শিশু, যুব ও এডোলেসেন্টরা নিজেরাই ভেন্যু সাজানো, কার্যক্রম গুছিয়ে নেওয়া এবং নেতৃত্ব দেওয়ার কাজে ব্যস্ত। তাদের এই উদ্যোগ, দায়িত্ববোধ ও একসাথে কাজ করার মানসিকতা দেখে স্পষ্ট বোঝা যায় কমিউনিটির ভেতরে লিডারশিপ কীভাবে তৈরি হয় এবং কীভাবে তা ধীরে ধীরে শক্তিশালী হয়।
অনুষ্ঠানের শুরুতেই রূপালির অনুপ্রেরণার গল্প আমাদের গভীরভাবে স্পর্শ করে। সল্ট প্রক্রিয়ার মাধ্যমে নিজের ভেতরের শক্তি ও সম্ভাবনাকে চিনতে পেরে তার আত্মবিশ্বাস অনেক বেড়েছে। সে নিজ উদ্যোগে পুঁতির কাজ শিখেছে এবং এখন অন্যদেরও শেখাচ্ছে। এটি দেখায়, একজন মানুষ যখন নিজের পরিবর্তন শুরু করে, তখন তা অন্যদের মাঝেও প্রভাব ফেলে।
এছাড়া পিংকি দিদির উদ্যোগও ছিল খুবই গুরুত্বপূর্ণ। তিনি শিশুদের স্কুলে ভর্তি করানোসহ বিভিন্ন ইতিবাচক কাজ করছেন। তার এই প্রচেষ্টা আমাদের শেখায়, ছোট ছোট উদ্যোগ থেকেও বড় পরিবর্তন আসতে পারে, যদি আমরা ধারাবাহিকভাবে কাজ করি।
◑ এই আয়োজন থেকে শেখা:
- কমিউনিটির মানুষ যদি নিজের দায়িত্ব নেয়, তাহলে বাইরের সহায়তা ছাড়াও অনেক কিছু সম্ভব।
- নিজের ভেতরের শক্তি ও আত্মবিশ্বাস জাগানোই পরিবর্তনের প্রথম ধাপ।
- একজনের ভালো উদ্যোগ অন্যদের অনুপ্রাণিত করে এবং ধীরে ধীরে পুরো কমিউনিটিতে পরিবর্তন আনে।
- শিশু ও তরুণদের যুক্ত করা গেলে পরিবর্তন আরও টেকসই হয়।
সব মিলিয়ে, জ্ঞানের মেলাটি শুধু একটি অনুষ্ঠান ছিল না এটি ছিল শেখার, অনুপ্রেরণা নেওয়ার এবং নিজের কাজকে নতুনভাবে ভাবার একটি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ অভিজ্ঞতা।
