Jenny Cameron from the university of Newcastle, was a pioneer of Asset Based Community Development (ABCD) in Australia. She recorded her use of ABCD in 2002 and whilst this was over a decade ago the application of the methodologies is as applicable today as it was back then.
How could using Asset Based Community Development approaches improve your work with communities? Are you using other strengths based approaches? I'd love to hear from you.
I hope you enjoy both clips.

Rituu,
Learning from the lived experience of others is powerful. I love when communities mentor each other through sharing their experiences.
Cheers
We have all the resources within us to find solution to our common problems- its not about fixing problems but what people can do. what a powerful message! Ideas festival seems to be a fun thing...will try it sometime- what can we do and what they would like to learn. People got into small groups to decide what to do next. Also its impressive that one community went to learn from another community's experience on community garden. In the Constellation too we believe in the importance of learning from experience.
I also enjoyed different generations sitting together and talking!
Information stall is also exciting! Better to have smaller number who are interested. Community newsletter, art workshop...wow!
Thanks for the beautiful videos.
