Doing a self-assessment was a very meaningful experience for us. This time, we involved not only our teams from Dhading and the head office but also our board members. It wasn’t just us looking at our work—our board members also supported us with full attention, sincerity, and responsibility. This made us even more confident that our organization can truly work together as one team.
While doing the self-assessment, we realized many things that we hadn’t noticed before. At first, we believed, “Our work is fine, everything is going well.” But once we did a detailed assessment, we discovered that there were still many steps where we needed to improve.
During the discussions, everyone spoke openly. We had deep conversations about questions like, “How can we make our work even better? How do we make it sustainable and long-lasting?”
Through this process, we understood two important things:
We have been doing very good work.
But there is still plenty of room for improvement, learning, and growth.
Overall, the self-assessment helped us see not only our weaknesses but also our strengths and a clearer direction for the future. Now, we feel even more motivated to learn, improve, and work together to move our organization forward.
