CLCP can strengthen facilitation skills in health workers

In October 2019, i went to Dumuria village for  SALT visit purpose and i meet with ASHA WORKER Mrs. Sohiton Nesa. ASHA is health worker in India.

Then she told me that AK wife of MH of said village was not interested to immunize their children's in 2 year ago. Asha try more and more but family did not listen. After SALT Approach activities  (CLCP) that family was interested  and immunized their child. Now  that child age is 18 month . She said this is only possible by SALT. This village was visited Mr. Philip, Rituu and Mr. Ashok Rao in 2017.

Today when I met ASHA WORKER then she said a 9 month of pregnant women Name is HK (Husband name SI) Hemoglobin rate  is going low according to blood test report. Because the pregnant mother not interested to use Iron Folic Acid tablets  (IFA). So Asha worker take me to visit their home and there she  discussed the  importance of IFA and Ante natal care in the pregnancy period and also discussed on immunization.  I have learned that if ASHA is given SALT training she will be able to encourage the community for Immunization and Ante natal Care.
