I have been active in community development for a number of years. Rural development in particular is close to my heart as I am myself from a small town with ancestral roots in a farming community. Over the last 8 years I have been working in the HIV and AIDS care and support sector, specifically providing care for the caregiver. I am also the mother of 2 gorgeous boys. So, given my rural upbringing, being a carer in need of care and custodian to a future generation, I am curious about how we can create a more caring society. One that holds nurturing and being nurtured in high esteem as essential to our survival as a species. My exposure to the SALT methodology makes me even more curious.....
My dream:
Making a difference at the most local level with the most global impact. One conversation or action at a time.
I'm proud of:
Being able to embrace new opportunities for sharing and learning....we all have something to offer and we all have something to learn.
