RAKAI DISTRICT LOCAL GOVERNMENT
About Me:
I am a Social Worker by training and practice. I have worked in Rakai District since January 1991. This was a period of high effects of the HIV pandemic. I led a team of Social Workers to establish a Community Based Child Care System/Response for orphans and other vulnerable children, which we successfully did. I have had a lot of experience related with the HIV pandemic and I am willing to share with those who may find it useful. Rakai District of Uganda was the first spot where the virus was discovered.
My dream:
An HIV/AIDS free world
I'm proud of:
Having contributed to the reduction of HIV infections and management of the AIDS pandemic
