Theatre Age is a non-political, non-profit, charitable NGO, devoted to the cause of upliftment of underprivileged children, for past 18 years, with particular focus on educating them and transforming them into socially aware future citizens of India. Presently, more than 50 children are being taken care of by us.
Last year, our 25 students cleared their annual exams, securing 50 to 70 percent marks. Our senior most student has been admitted to BFA at Govt. College of Arts, Chandigarh. However, being from very humble background, it is just not possible for them or the NGO to meet their tuition fee and other expenses. Our only source of income is the sale proceeds of the ‘raddi’ that we collect from over 600 well-wishers of our NGO. However, the funds are just not sufficient to meet our expenses, which include expenditure for providing two daily meals to over 50 children.
