Dear All
I'd like to share my experience of reunion by three of youths who joined youth activities related to adolescent reproductive health issues when they were at senior high school one or two years ago. They are now university students, all of them got scholarship because of their achievement at academic and students associations
Last week we met and talked, I shared with them CLCP and SALT approach. They are so enthusiastic. This like de-fragmenting their knowledge oh HIV-AIDS and ARH issues into more structured understanding and working framework. They plan to have me doing SALT visit at their campus. Two of them are starting mobilize resource (inviting lecturer, other students association, sending proposal to bank operating surround their campus) to make visit and establishment of community competence process took place.
Suddenly I reflected, is it one of youth sustained program/activities? That they start their initiation to run project by their own spirit and become knowledgeable on HIV-AIDS and AH issues at their higher education level?. Am I prudent enough to say that to have champions among youth are another requirement to ensure youth program are sustained?
Sound encouraging and promising then. This is in my context, as Rini one of youth said, will prevent youth doing sex before married and preparing them planned marriage hood!!
