Tools we use to share

Let's share here the tools we use to 'share'. You can attach documents by clicking on the symbol of the blank sheet and attach images by clicking on the symbol of the image.

Please explain which tool it is and how you distribute it.

To set the context, I want to share about 'the circles' which I use a lot in the Constellation. There is 'the world' (all people on this planet) --> in the world there are 'contacts' (people with whom we were in touch at least once) --> within contacts there are people who are interested --> within people who are interested there are members, then facilitators, coaches and CST.

What we see is that most energy to spread Community Life Competence lies with the members, facilitators, coaches and CST. That is why we want to bring people closer and closer to the center of the circle. For each circle there are different Share tools. For instance, the website is a tool that brings people in 'the world' closer, to become contacts or interested. The brochure is a tool that you give to a 'contact' and this person will maybe become interested. Ning is a tool for our members to become facilitators or coaches.

Now, more about some of the tools we use in the Constellation. You can use these as an inspiration to develop your own.

Logo

 We use the logo on our website, business cards, letter head, brochures... everywhere!

We printed these brochures and give them whenever we meet someone new. It targets 'contacts'.

Website

The website is for people who are new to the approach or the Constellation. They get to know more about the approach and the organisation. There are contact details there and documents they can download. It targets 'the world'.

Online community

http://www.aidscompetence.ning.com

The online community on Ning is a place where all members can interact, learn and share. It targets 'members'. We also have a facebook group but it is not so active yet.

Newsletter

This monthly newsletter is available on the website and is also send by email every month to more than 1000 people. It targets 'interested people'.

Annual report

We print the annual report and distribute it to 'contacts'. We also send it by email to all people who are on our emailing list for the newsletter.

We used this video (it is like a small documentary about the process in Papua New Guinea) to convince our partners that the approach was successful. We still use it to get people on board who work on PNG.

Hi Laurence,

I think SALT visit itself is a tool for share. And there is a circle between members and facilitators/coaches and this circle is circle of influence. And the share occure by SALT visits. Like when a person do SALT visits as her/his work or in her workplace as a tool she/he also applies it in her/his family and among friends. But perhaps not declaring it as a SALT visit. It happens by diffusion of understanding, appreciation and learning. How about this?

Yes I agree with you, Rebeka. In the Constellation we organize one SALT visit per year for people who are new to the approach. This year it will take place in India. I'm attaching the draft invitation for your information.
