Hi All,

This is regarding our share function for the Constellation. I work as Share facilitator with the Constellation.

I want to explore an online collaboration tool for drawing a common dream. Have you used any such tool? Would you like to join me in exploring this interesting option? Please let me know.

Thanks

Rituu

Here are the responses I got from KM4dev group, thanks to Endro Catur and Nancy White

Hi Rituu,

Have you tried Google Docs/Drive (http://drive.google.com) ? I've
recommended it to my clients of similar organization type to you. They
so far loved it: cost nothing but the (stable and fast) internet. I've
sometimes used it for workshop participants who couldn't come to the
venue.

I've also used Conceptboard for sometimes for ideas generation,
conceptual works including sketching/doodling. It is not free, though.

They're all collaborative. Hope this helps.

Hi Rituu

First of all, I'd invite you to join the community of visual facilitators some of us host on Facebook. https://www.facebook.com/groups/122858401095871/ We tend to talk about online tools pretty regularly and a few of our team are pretty darn good with the online visualization.

Second, it would be helpful to hear a bit more about your context. For example, do your members have pretty good access? Do you have access to webinar tools that have whiteboards AND which allow everyone to draw on the electronic whiteboard at the same time (many, alas, DON'T!)

What kinds of visualizations are you talking about? Literally drawing together, or organizing data (like an electronic pinboard), developing visual plans /flows (some of us are trying to set up a time to trial this tool http://bit.ly/OmoPEA

I've written a bit about this topic (see links below) but know the tech is always changing. The process doesn't seem to change so fast! :-)

Here is a response from Ann Tothill from RosViz10 facebook group. Thanks Ann!

Ann Tothill Microsoft's OneNote is a rather underutilized collaboration tool. If you're all running MS Office you'll already have OneNote installed, and - depending on the sophistication of your drawing needs - you might find it useful. It allows real-time collaboration and updating, and includes a set of basic drawing tools. To create a shared online storage space you'd need to set up a free OneDrive account. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microsoft_OneNote

It gathers users' notes (handwritten or typed), drawings, screen clippings and audio commentaries. Notes can be shared with other OneNote users over th...
