Join DME for Peace on Thursday, May 16th at 10am EDT, as Ann Hendrix-Jenkins, Sr. Advisor at The Movement for Community-led Development, joins the M&E Thursday Talks to lead a discussion on “The Transformative Potential of Community-led Development."
The Movement for Community-led Development is made up of 57 member organizations, who are working to scale up Community-led Development (CLD) to a transformative, national scale around the world. To make this happen, they are assembling a rigorous and evolving evidence base on CLD.Ann will discuss this goal, and how they have found that methods and tools designed to evaluate short-term, sector-specific, or clinical interventions are not a good fit for examining evidence about CLD. Ann will also go into detail about the six characteristics of community-led development that they believe current monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) tools are not designed to consider.
