Webinar commemorating International Youth Day organized by Global Fund for Children and our Youth Leadership Council on Thursday, August 18 from 9:00-10:00 am EST. The event is called The Youth Spark: A Transition to Youth-focused Grantmaking. It will feature youth panelists from Asia, Southern Africa, Europe, and the Americas who designed the Spark Fund in their regions and recently selected 56 youth-led and youth-focused organizations in 13 countries as Global Fund for Children partners.

The Spark Fund is an innovative, participatory fund that provides youth-led and youth-focused groups with financial support and capacity development, enabling them to experiment, collaborate, and learn using digital technologies.

The panelists will discuss how young people want to participate in philanthropy during this event. As part of our participatory funding process, we will hear how our panelists experienced this process and how important it is to involve them in grantmaking strategies.
