Dear Friends

At the end of a year marked by calls for action on the climate emergency, I am sending you this note on the meaning of Now, written with Isabelle Giraldo of Emergences.

Happy New Year 2020

Jean-Louis

Right now?

"Act Now! The end of the world is nearby! Collapse is already upon us, and with it its train of disaster!" Doesn't this message bear a striking resemblance to the message about AIDS that was repeated over and over…

You have followed your convictions and left a trail.

Thanks for sharing the document. Conclusion fits our way of thinking

“The evidence is abundant that if you have more than one partner, the chance of HIV infection is increased. It is sometimes difficult for Africans to talk about sexual things in a one-on-one setting. What we found effective is when people talk collectively. If you take a look at the places where HIV went down dramatically, it was where members of society talked to one another: Zimbabwe, Uganda and elsewhere… We saw musicians, leaders, politicians leading the discussions. It is harder if this information comes from foreigners, or anyone outside the community or social group or even family,” said Timberg. "

Waoouuh! first time ever that i receive so many responses from friends at the same time. I am not sure to be able to stay long active on Ning, but that's attractive. Will come back later.

How are you? In Yogyakarta or something like this?

I will be in Gex at the beginning of April (Eastern).
