It's been almost a year or two that I have not formally used the SALT in my current work. But today, I was able to retrieve the good old tools and matrices, to use it in assessing an urban community in their capacity to address the adolescent needs during the emergency.
The participants were mixed group coming from adults (from the service provider) and adolescent sector (some are out of school). Using the dream and self assessment tool, thinking that they are on level 3-4 but have agreed that they are more on lever 1 (awareness) and Level 2 (more on reactive). They are happy that they were able to know their strengths at present and in moving forward, they plan on how they can improved their capacities and be involved more in addressing the adolescent issues. With their plan set for the next three months, lets see if they level-up.
until the next blog =)

Great to see SALT and CLCP being so inspirational.
Hi Rituu, how are you? we always separate the adolescents from the adults, then combine them after. We are focused on "adolescent reproductive health in emergencies", the question was, if you have dream tent in evacuation area, what would it look like to address your needs and have yourself protected during emergency?Same question with adults. We were able to get adolescent dream and adults perspective.
Thanks for sharing Miel. You used mixed groups of adolescents and adults. What was the question you used for dream building? Were adolescents comfortable talking in presence of adults? Look forward to learning from you.
Great to hear you are picking up again Miel! What are the strengths this group will use to work towards reaching the next level? Look forward to read how implementation of the action plan goes - in your next blog!
