About Me:
A young man aged 27 years,Born and brought up in a small village along the Northern transport corridor called Kithituni. Inspired and excited for being part of a youth facilitation team stimulating and accompanying local responses to issue of AIDs but not limited to it.
My dream:
To see a world where young people become assertive and build confidence and competence to the issues they face in life.
My concern:
why has it taken too long for organizations, Governments,.... to acknowledge that we are the objects to the issues we face NOT the subjects.
I'm proud of:
being part of the change.
What I think of AIDS Competence:
A process for stimulating ownership to enhance community capacity to care and change.

When village headmen lead the response to HIV…

Village headmen in my Village Kithituni are usually elected by people. They serve as volunteers with no salary from the government or from any other source. The people who elect them give them the mandate to lead from the front. Village leaders can really mobilize and organize the people to respond. We have seen village headmen steer strong the links between homes and neighbourhood conversations often facilitated by a team to big heights.

Ongoing community conversations: Stimulating & deepening community capacity to Care and Change.

In September 2008, The Kenya NFT gathered in Mombasa to participate in the Knowledge room moderators training.During this time the team immersed themselves into a local community(Truck stop) for SALT visit.
