About Me:
I'm a simple person who has been trained on the job and self taught in many of the areas that I enjoy working. The main area of work that I enjoy is Human Capacity Building. I also like working with technology and have an education in Information Technology and an informal education in Marketing. I have been a trainer/facilitator for the past seven years and I have loved every single minute of it - challenges included!
My dream:
My dream is that the people of my beloved home (Guyana) will one day be able to find the solutions for their problems and act on them instead of complaining and waiting for someone else to come and do it for them.
My concern:
The world is going to change, inevitably, and my concern is whether or not humans will have the strength and courage to pick up the pieces and adapt to their new environment.
I'm proud of:
Living in a country that helps to take care of the "lungs of the world". Being part of the "protection program" is exciting, challenging and fulfilling.
What I think of Community Life Competence:
I think Community Life Competence is something that every community needs to know about themselves.
What do I want to do to spread Community Life Competence?
Facilitate Community Life Competence in my community, Join a facilitation team, I want to apply SALT in my own life (S: Stimulate; Support; A: Appreciate; L: Listen; Learn; Link; T: Transfer; Team), I want to share my experience on my blog in Ning
The small secretariat of the Constellation also needs help. Do you want to help? I want to:
Writing skills, online facilitation

When we work in teams over long periods of time, we will not always be in "sync". There comes a time when some or all members of the team see things differently. The most important part of keeping the team together is communication.

My team was recently tested when I thought that we were not working at the same pace or the same level. And so I decided that I need to be SALTy and Stimulate a discussion so that we can get past this little bump. I thought that I was not going fast… Continue
