আমাদের প্রথম পুরুষ দিবস: এক হৃদয়ছোঁয়া উদযাপন Our First Men’s Day: A Heartwarming Celebration

       গত ১৯ তারিখে আমাদের কমিউনিটিতে অনুষ্ঠিত হয়ে গেল আন্তর্জাতিক পুরুষ দিবস। আগে কখনো জানতাম না যে আন্তর্জাতিকভাবে এই দিনটিও উদযাপন করা হয়। তাই দিনটি যখন প্রথমবার উদযাপনের সুযোগ পেলাম, তখন সেটি ছিল আমার কাছে এক অসাধারণ অনুভূতির মুহূর্ত। বিশেষ ধন্যবাদ জানাই ঋতুকে, কারণ তার পরামর্শেই প্রথম আমি আমাদের ম্যাস্কুলিনিটি টিমকে নিয়ে এই দিনটি উদযাপনের ভাবনা শুরু করি।
প্রথমে ভেবেছিলাম, কীভাবে আমাদের কমিউনিটির পুরুষদের সাথে দিনটি অর্থবহভাবে কাটানো যায়। পরে টিমমেটদের সাথে আলোচনা করলে তারা আমাকে দারুণ কিছু পরামর্শ দেয়। তাদের পরামর্শ থেকে অনুপ্রাণিত হয়ে আমি পদ্মফুল টিমের সদস্যদের গোলাপ ফুল, চকলেট নিয়ে শুভেচ্ছা জানাই।
আমি কিছু রঙিন কাগজ, একটি সাদা Art Paper নিয়ে গিয়েছিলাম। Art Paper টিতে আমরা সবাই নিজেদের সম্পর্কে একটি ভালো দিক  এবং আমাদের একজন বন্ধুর ভালো দিক লিখেছিলাম। লেখার সময় আমি খেয়াল করলাম বাকিদের চোখেমুখে আনন্দ ফুটে উঠেছিল। তাদের লেখার মধ্যেই বুঝতে পেরেছি তারা একে অপরের প্রতি কতটা শ্রদ্ধাশীল এবং কৃতজ্ঞ।
এরপর আরেকটি কাজ আমরা করেছি।    আমরা সবাই একেকটি রঙিন কাগজ নিয়ে তাতে একটি বক্স এঁকেছি। তারপর সেই বক্সের ভিতরে সমাজে ছেলেদের জন্য নির্ধারিত কিছু জিনিস লিখেছি যেটা আমরা মানতে চায়না। যেমন- ছেলেরা কাঁদতে পারবেনা, ছেলেদের সবসময় শক্ত থাকতে হবে এসব। পরে সেই কাগজ ছিঁড়ে ফেলি যেন আমরা প্রতীকীভাবে জানাতে পারি—এই নেতিবাচক বাধা থেকে আমরা মুক্ত হতে চাই।  আমরা চায় সমাজের ভেতরের পুরুষরা ইতিবাচক পরিবর্তনের মাধ্যমে একটি সুন্দর ও নিরাপদ পরিবেশ গড়ে তুলুক।    
দিনটি তাদের প্রথম পুরুষ দিবস উদযাপন হওয়ায় সবার মাঝে ছিল অদ্ভুত উচ্ছ্বাস। আগে কখনো কেউ তাদেরকে পুরুষ দিবসের শুভেচ্ছা জানায়নি। তাই তারা আমাকে এবং আমাদের সংগঠনকে আন্তরিক স্বাগত জানায় ও প্রশংসা করে।
পরে আমরা বাজারে গিয়ে এলাকার বড়দেরও গোলাপ ফুল দিয়ে শুভেচ্ছা জানাই। তাদের হাসিমুখ দেখে বুঝতে পেরেছি, এত ছোট্ট একটি উদ্যোগও কতটা আনন্দ দিতে পারে। কিছুক্ষণ তাদের সাথে সময় কাটিয়ে আমি ফিরে আসি, কিন্তু মনে রয়ে যায় এক অদ্ভুত তৃপ্তি।
আন্তর্জাতিক পুরুষ দিবসটি আমার জীবনে একটি বিশেষ দিন হয়ে থাকবে—আনন্দ, কৃতজ্ঞতা এবং কমিউনিটির প্রতি ভালোবাসায় ভরপুর একটি দিন। আমার টিমমেটরা আমাকে শুভেচ্ছা জানায় এবং আমাকে চকোলেট দিয়ে স্পেশাল ফিল করায়। নিজের জীবনের প্রথম পুরুষ দিবস আমি খুব স্পেশাল ভাবে কাটিয়েছি। এরকম দিন আমাদের জীবনে আরোও আসুক। 
On the 19th of this month, our community celebrated International Men’s Day. I never knew before that this day was observed internationally as well. So when I got the chance to celebrate it for the first time, it became a truly special and memorable moment for me. I would like to give special thanks to Rituu,     because it was on her suggestion that I first thought about celebrating this day with our masculinity team.
At first, I wondered how we could spend the day meaningfully with the men in our community. Later, when I discussed it with my teammates, they shared some wonderful ideas. Inspired by their suggestions, I greeted the members of the Padmo team with roses and chocolates.
I had taken some colored papers and a white art paper with me. On the art paper, each of us wrote one good quality about ourselves and one good quality about a friend. While writing, I noticed a spark of joy in everyone’s eyes. From their words, I could clearly see how respectful and grateful they were toward one another.
After that, we did another activity. Each of us took a colored paper and drew a box on it. Inside the box, we wrote down some of the expectations that society places on boys—expectations we do not want to follow. For example: “Boys shouldn’t cry,” “Boys must always be strong,” and so on. Then we tore the paper to symbolically express that we want to break these restrictions. We want the men in our society to bring positive change and help create a safe and beautiful environment for all.
Since it was their first time celebrating Men’s Day, everyone was filled with excitement. No one had ever wished them on Men’s Day before. So they welcomed me and our organization warmly and expressed their appreciation.
Later, we went to the market and greeted the elders of the area with roses as well. Seeing their smiling faces made me realize how much joy a small gesture can bring. After spending some time with them, I returned home with a deep sense of satisfaction.
This International Men’s Day will always remain a special day in my life—a day filled with joy, gratitude, and love for my community. My teammates also wished me and gave me chocolates, which made me feel special. I celebrated my first Men’s Day in a truly meaningful way. I hope days like this continue to come into our lives.
