Dear Friends,
Our new friends from Trinidad and Tobago are in the process of developing their National AIDS Coordinating Program (NACP) and are doing it through the Competence Process. Consequently, please help them to tinker with the Self Assessment framework. Looking forwards to everyone from the T&T ACP Event to land on this page and give their inputs online after the workshop, so that we can all together continue on the journey towards Competence. A couple of days ago we in T&T have completed Level Five, and soon by the end of today we hope to have the framework filled in for all the Levels, thanks to the group work done in this interactive and enthusiasm-filled workshop.

Dear Rituu,
In a little race with time! There's so much happening, and so little time to document it all :-)
Not to worry, this Self Assessment will be revised many times in T&T as everyone including all participants, the government, and the UN representatives want to form a National body to coordinate the Community response to HIV through the Competence process. There has been lot of testimonials that they will follow such a process, but I will take some time to update all of this in the blogs that I hope to see mushrooming in ACP Ning.
Dear Rafique,
Thanks for sharing the document. One lesson I have learned in participatory monitoring and evaluation is that the community must see value in self assessment or it will just remain a tool and become an additional burden. Having a long and detailed discussion on the significance of Self assessment helps in the long run. Just a bit from my little experience:-)
