I am a family medicine consultant and public health practitioner based in Karachi, Pakistan. I am also the Hepatitis C Program Manager at Indus Hospital.
Is to contribute to cause of Hepatitis Infection control.
Reasons to spread of HCV infection are deep rooted in the community. It will need more than a biomedical model approach to bring the situation in control. My dream is to reach out and engage with the community so they own the problem and i support then to move towards solutions.
I'm proud of:
My patients & Indus Hospital
My patients keep me grounded and don't let me get disconnected from reality. This will reflect back on my approach towards disease control.
Indus hospital has taken up a huge challenge to serve the underprivileged society of our country. And its only the purity of intention that has made them come this far in a short span of time.
What I think of Community Life Competence:
Its a model that is transferable to several other disease context
