My dream:
My dream is a space where vulnerability to HIV and other concerns are duly addressed through a commuity based mechanism. Since all of us have the power to change within.
My concern:
My concern is that as a vulnerable community we are too fragements in more ways than one, being fragmented has increased our vulnerability many folds, and we are blissfully obliviant to that fact or choose not to act.
What do I want to do to spread AIDS Competence?
Facilitate AIDS Competence in my community, Launch a facilitation team, Join a facilitation team, I want to apply SALT in my own life (S: Stimulate; Support; A: Appreciate; L: Listen; Learn; Link; T: Transfer; Team)
The small secretariat of the Constellation also needs help. Do you want to help? I want to:
Translate, Writing skills, Knowledge Management

Religion and Same-Sex Attraction

Our sexual drive is a powerful force—so powerful that many civilizations have believed it must be regulated in order to avoid conflict. By establishing rules of conduct, a society sets up a standard of correct behavior, or morals, that every individual is expected to uphold. A society's sexual morals are often based on a religion or philosophy that is predominant in that culture. However, not all members of a particular society necessarily believe in the same religion or philosophy and, therefor… Continue

MSM Truckers and male and transgendered sex workers experience in Mumbai, India

From the early to mid 1990s, India’s burgeoning HIV/AIDS epidemic was labeled “a heterosexual epidemic”, which led to the assumption that transmission through same sex encounters was negligible. Emerging evidence has shown that men who have sex with men (MSM) in India constitute an extremely diverse population, many of whom are living apparently heterosexual lives, but who are actually engaged in risk-taking behavior with either same sex or both same sex and opposite sex partners. This populatio… Continue

Dear Ernest,

Welcome to Ning. I came to know about you through Rituu. I had recently seen a letter from you regarding a consultation for TG persons in Delhi. I would like invite you to see my page on Ning. I have been gaining a lot of inspiration from ACP and Community Life Competence Process (CLCP) as it is very close to my life. I am glad that you are keen in practising the ACP approach among the MSM community I strongly believe that many of us are trying to do it and to gether we will be able to make it happen. I have been working with organisations of Sex workers and MSM for past few years and I hope we can have lot of interation regrding this and learn and share with each other. Another colleague of mine Robin will also get in touch with you.

Lets keep in touch,

With warm regards,

Prabakar
