I am a British Medical doctor, with a BMedsci in community health science and a Masters in Public Health from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. I have branched out of clinical medicine to focus on my passion for global health. I am currently undertaking a PhD. I am Muslim, but a keen proponent of genuine interfaith and peace. I come from a varied cultural background, of Indian Ethnicity, I was born in London, but my father is from South Africa and my mother is from Mauritius. I am a keen traveller, vegetarian, tea-drinker and write for the Independent .
My dream:
A world where people can accept people's different religions and worldviews and not be threatened by them. But be able to learn from one another, choosing the parts one likes and rejects the parts one does not. To create a culture where we can be motivated by faith, yet inspired by people.
