About Me:
Born in Dordrecht, The Netherlands on August 10th, 1981, I studied International Business in Maastricht and wrote my final thesis about freedom and constraint. One month after graduating, I marched into the Amsterdam chamber of commerce, together with my two best friends and comrades, Jeroen and Thomas, to start a company called "Realize!". Realize! supports the development of conscious people in conscious organizations, with 'conscious' meaning nothing more (and nothing less!) than being 'awake'.

At present, my work consists of exploring and realizing (more) requisite forms of collaborating and organizing. Forms that yield a higher return on the input of passion and potential. Working with leading-edge practices and perspectives, I aim to support the development of organizations that create value for all those involved, including clients, employees, partners and the larger societal ecosystem.

In more conventional terms, my interest goes out to change management, collaboration, requisite organization and the development of leadership, teams and organizations. I work with experienced professionals to support the development of my own craftsmanship. Building on my capacity for seeing both the essence and the bigger picture, I rely on my sixth sense for language to put them into words.

Other things which are of value to me, in random order: integration, authentic relationships, Shaolin kungfu, a sense of humour, Elke, silence, good conversation, music, and inspiring individuals.
My dream:
To wake up people and organizations to realize their potential more fully.
I'm proud of:
The company I started in 2006 with my two best friends. It's called Realize!, which has two meanings:
1) to become aware or conscious of, and
2) to make real, to manifest
Our mission is to serve the awakening of people and organizations, in order to more fully realize their potential.

    He Diederick, Welcome. Kind of a hectic week for me, so only could catch up with new postings today. Thanks a lot for that valuable contribution to openings on a human level. Especially the snooze button option is cool!
    I'll be in Amsterdam today and hopefully meeting with Thomas. Will give you a call before I leave to Chiang Mai.
    Again compliments for the useful www.realize.nl website. Inspiring, especially the different methodologies. I keep on learning!

    Hi Diederick,

    We are struggling with a step of our process: "self-measurement of change". The idea is that communities measure their own change and set their own indicators of progress.

    Do you have any experience with this? Do people or companies with which you work, measure their own change in consciousness?
